Has anyone here succeed in Elance?

I joined Elance two months ago. Up until now, I have not landed my first job yet. It seems really hard to let the client notice you with so many bidders. I have taken tests and completed my profile. And I did pretty good in the tests. But nobody notices me and wants to give me a chance. I am a little upset.
Has anyone here in Mylot succeed in Elance? If you have succeeded, please share your experience with me and help me to land the first job. Thanks!

I have never had success with Elance, but both with oDesk and Freelancer I have landed jobs... where oDesk is my favourite.
Often the employers/contractors want the best quality for the smallest pay.

Thanks for sharing. Yes, it is often the case that the buyers want to get the highest quality with smallest pay. And the competition is really tense.

I have joined Elance more than 4 months ago and have not had any luck with anything yet. However, I have got jobs from Odesk and Guru. I did not bid often at Elance though. It takes some time as people say to get hired at bidding sites. I have listed other sites in my website, you might be interested in having a look at my website to learn more.
