how to prepare plain dosa (rice and lentil creps)

Ingredients to serve 4 to 6 people 4 cup rice. 2 cup urad dal (white lentil) salt to taste oil Preparation : wash and soak rice and dal separately for 5 hours. Grind rice into a thick fine paste with water. grind dal, adding water a little at a time , into a fine past. Mix rice and dal, cover and keep in heat warm place over night to ferment . add salt to taste, in a non-stick pan heat a little oil and pour a ladleful of mixture to form a thin crep. cover and cool for 2 minutes.cook the flip side and serve hot with butter and coconut sauce or tomato sauce. the mixture can be thinned by adding little water.
