Most of us love to go places and watch things around. We would wish just good things only to happen during the course of our travel to far off destinations. Each journeys opens up new vistas of fun and entertainment in abundance. Still undesirable and derisive instances do occur. To avoid such happenings the destination should be chosen carefully. Travel planning is quite essential for a pleasurable trip.

Before I decide to visit a place I have to be sure that the place is safe. I wouldn't want to end up in a troubled land and risk being hit by stray bullets. So far I've not encountered any unpleasaness during all my travels as I've done my homework well before setting off. Next year I've already planned to go on a month long tour to all the thirteen states of my country that would require travelling by plane, boat, train, and bus. When travelling locally I would also apply safety come first as there are still unforeseen risks even on home turf.

Hello my friend zandi458 Ji, Well, how to plan for unforeseens and natural clamities. So our side we say boldly, MAN PROPOSES GOD DISPOSES. In our country, allmost every day there is BANDH , STRIKES etc. How to overcome such things. When there was nothing when our First PM late Jawahar lal expired, whole shopping was closed and we had some ceremony. It is very difficult to live even these days. May God bless You and have a great time

Planning is also fun. I leave on a short trip in a few days, but the planning began months ago. We used Hotwire to make the motel reservations online, choosing one of the special offers where they do not say the name of the motel until after it is paid for and there are no refunds. However, they do draw a circle on the map and promise the hotel is inside that circle and they also list the amenities. So we learned after paying that it is indeed a very nice place and the room was 1/2 price. This is the first time I ever made this kind of reservation. Travel used to be much scarier before they invented cell phones and GPS devices.

While careful and intelligent planning makes things work nicely, faulty planning makes things go haywire.

If one is going for sight seeing or pilgrimage, planning in advance is a must, these days it is difficult to get train tickets, even before 3 months, besides we have to reserve rooms in hotels/guest houses I am planning a trip to Philippines this December, if my health permits, i will fly..

that is so right , before going to another place for visit, one must plan and check on the places to visit and the way or route to follow. There are travel guides also that you can get. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful day ahead.

I can only dream of going to places, now, because of my financial position and job jeopardy. Well, I always thought of traveling all over the world in my childhood, but this wish has completed in a variety way I am seeing all the world in TV and computer and I am communicating with people all over the world.

I have visited around sixty different countries in the world. I don't get on well with the side affects from anti malaria pills. I have taken them in Indonesia and Kenya. I stayed safe in Colombia but I got attacked in the Maldives. I have learned not to go on a deserted beach. I almost got mugged in Argentina's capital city. I didn't feel safe there after that awful experience. I saw some anti Brit stuff because I was there at the anniversary of the Falkland Islands War. I chatted to a Swiss traveler and in Cordoba she had her backpack stolen. She had been getting a plate of food. Then a person grabbed her backpack and ran off with it. On most of my trips I have stayed safe.

I do believe that there are times that despite our best planning, there are things that happen during our travels that happen that do bitter our experiences on that trip. One example for me was when I was in eighth grade and I got to go to Washington, D.C. and while we were on that trip, my wallet was stolen out of my purse. That did mean that I had to go through the bulk of the trip without a dime to spend. Sometimes our best planning still results in bad things happening that were beyond our control.
