With my son's forthcoming 1st birthday celebration, we are planning to make a simple children's party. The question is, will it be much more better if we held it in a restaurant(say McDonalds) rather than having the party at our house(with the cooking and preparation to be made by us.)?

Well most of birthdays parties now are held in fast food chains like McDonalds or Jollibee. The fact that your wont be tired enough with all the preparation an who have enough time to enjoy the party as well because someone will be in charge in the party. But in my family, we used to celebrate birthday parties by preparing it all by ourselves since we really have a big family. Almost all relatives and neighbors used to help so preparation is more easy, fast and enjoy.

currently, we have already have some price lists coming from Mc Donalds and Jollibee. Hopefully, we will be able to make a decision by the end of this month. thank you for your input. =)

when my brother did it at a popular fastfood place, the food wasn't enough because so many people (our family, her family, plus their mutual friends). but when an officemate did it, there were some empty tables probably because it was the raining hard that day so they took home the excess food. so i guess just check the headcount and order more food, if needed (so make sure you have extra funds). then try to chat up your guests at each table since you're usually limited to a few hours only. but, overall, i think it's better to just pay for it because you and the guests can go elsewhere afterwards then come home to a clean and quiet house.

Indeed..We are thinking as to the total headcount of the possible attendees since there might be an abundant extra foods just in case some of the guests are absent on the said date. Your inputs are greatly appreciated and part of the consideration that we are making. Have a great day!!! =)

I think first birthday party can be simple because the baby is very small to play around. You can always have it in mcdonalds when he grows or can be next year too. then he can play with his friends. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful day ahead.
