Do u think a housewife should have a share in her husband's income?

There has always been a raging debate whether a housewife who stays at home throughout the day and serves her family selflessly should be given a share of her husband's income or not? The reason being the rise in atrocities against them and increased cases of their lack of independent feelings.
I think she deserves the share and this will make her independent even if she is not working and will make her more confident in facing the challenges even if she is not supported by her husband.
What are your thoughts regarding this? Please do leave your comments!

Of course wives should have this share. Maybe the majority of men take wives' hard working at home for granted. In those men's opinion,their wives do have the responsibility to serve this family selflessly since men work outside and get wage.But I totally disagree with that. I think housewives also do contribution for the society as working men. Without housewives, you have to hire a servant to do your housework,apparently you have to pay for them. So do housewives.

Hey thanks a ton for your response. Well yes many working husband's take their housewives granted and they do not give due recognition to them in spite of the fact that they sacrifice everything in their lives just for the sake of their family's well being. So it should be the responsibility of every husband to give even a minor share of their income to that they can also do something out of their money whatever they want.

Oh of course a house wife deserves a share in her husbands income or else the husband will find himself with an empty house, or a dirty house, he may find he has to make his own meals, wash his own clothes etc etc.. House work is still a job.. and if a man wants to go to work happy he better keep his lady happy.. ;)

Hey thanks a ton for such a lovely response. Well yes, this is a great step to empower the women community who by have always been neglected by the society. If a woman can handle the entire family with the same way a husband can handle the entire business then she also deserves the respect and honor in the form of sharing the income with her husband.
What say?
..I have never seen anyone do that. This is a totally new concept to me and I kinda like it very much. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful day ahead.

Hey thanks a ton for your response. Well yes it would be great if the housewives get to share a part of their husband's earnings and income as it would be a great step to empower them. Yes this is indeed a new concept and this is a new raging discussion in India and a law is being thought of to be passed in our country regarding this. It is just a matter of time what happens in the coming days regarding this.
