There was just a commercial on about texting. A young music artist was the narrator and she spoke about texting and how dangerous it was. That we need to wait until we have stopped or are able to stope before texting. I have seen in the news where texting has caused some terrible accidents. Why do people have to be selfish as to go ahead and text and take the chance of having an accident? If you agree I hope you will go to www.itcanwait.com and take the pledge.

here it is against the law to text or talk on a cell phone while driving, a few people were killed that way.

In India too it is against the law to use the cell phone while driving, but people do it anyway and cause accidents to others or be the victims.I find it very annoying when a person is busy chatting on the cell phone , driving slowly and erratically holding up traffic and at times even causing a traffic jam. They are smart to know where the cops are keeping a watch and never do it when they are around..It is the same with messaging when they do it while driving, or even walking on the streets without looking properly and knocking against people or something even worse..

It is so dangerous to do and I have seen people texting whilst driving. I text but have never and will never text whilst driving. I need all my wits about me as it is and do not want to be distacted. I also do not want another person running into me because they were trxting. It really is a stupid and foolhardy thing to do. Texing is often free so this is why people do it

That is as it should be. Our concentration should be on our driving.

Apologies, you see why I would not text? Make too many mistakes already. I meant to have put in a double thumbs down. Mistakes are rampant these days until I get the use of three fingers again - complications from surgery.

You might want to pass it on if you know anyone who texts.

I do not text when I drive. I did it a few times but I stopped doing it! I didn't get in an accident but you don't have your eyes on the road when you do it! It scared me! People are not selfish just palin stupid to text and drive! Especaiily young people! They think they are undistructable. Nothing can hurt them and sometimes it doesn't even faze them after a freind gets hurt or killed while texting! I even heard people playing Angry Birds while driving! They do it by having the phone in their hands on top of the steering wheel and play that way! That is insane! I hope more people wake up and will stop texting and gaming! It is not a good thing! At all!

Young people do think they are undestructable. It is very scarey. A young woman here a couple of years ago caused an accident and a family was killed. it is against the law here.

I agree texting while driving is so dangerous! I wont answer the phone or anything like that while driving.. There are too many variables that can change in seconds... Causing accidents, deaths and so much more.

I heard there is even an app now that closes down the phone and you can't text or make or take calls until you reach your destination. We don't need any accidents or deaths when it could be avoided if people would be less self involved. We only go through this life once.
