I Did Not Accomplish What I Wanted to Today

Today was supposed to be one of those days where I did lots of writing and made lots of money here on the internet, but that did not happen. The morning started out with having to take my daughter to a college prep seminar, then I came home with hopes of doing some writing, but I had about 9 orders to fill so I had to do them first, then I finished up some laundry, and unloaded and loaded the dishwasher, of course the dishwasher did a terrible job and I ended up having to re-wash several things. Then I had to put away some laundry that I did not get to yesterday. Then it was finally time for me to sit down and get some writing done. Then I got a text from daughter saying that her seminar was getting out earlier than expected so I had to go and pick her up. My husband was moving his grandmother in to a retirement home today and they really didn't have enough people to help. I couldn't help because my daughter would have needed to watch my youngest child but she was at the seminar. So when she had me come get her early I decided that I should go and help. So I spent the rest of the day there helping set up her new apartment. Then I had to come home and take pictures of my son and then drive him to the homecoming dance. Now it is 7:47 PM and I finally get to sit down and work on my computer. Actually I should really vacuum the family room rug before my husband comes home, so I don't think I am going to get any writing done today. That family room rug just loves my dog's hair and has to be vacuumed every day, and if someone is coming over I will usually have to vacuum it more than once. It seems every time my dog steps on the darn thing hair jumps off her body on to that rug. Grrrr. Well that was my day productive, but not in the way I wanted it to be.

Sounds like you need to change dishwashing detergents. Add vinegar to it as well if that does not help. I have lots of days that seem like I do not get near what I need to done. I hope you have some writing days soon. I have not even tried to write in ages.

I really try, I got one article done for Knoji yesterday and really was not my best work. I keep hoping I will have more time. I have things to take care of the next couple of weeks that will not allow me to stay home and write either, then I am hoping my schedule will clear up a bit after that, but that never seems to happen for me.

Some kind of static guard may help on your carpet. Your family needs to recognize that you actually do work, just because you are home does not mean it is not work. I only write for textbroker right now and I have not been there in about three months. I am exploring some other sites as well.

My husband "knows" that my writing is working, but he does not always act like it. I met someone on here who has some good writing advice and she says she makes 1000 - 3000 per month. She does not go anywhere at all though. I was gone all day today. I will be gone half the day tomorrow, Monday I will work both early and late. Tuesday I work then in the late afternoon I will go to a Taste of Home Cooking School. Wednesday, work, the church choir. Oh, and after Monday, I will probably need to nap every afternoon for a while. It wears me out. Thursday evening I will watch my son's fiance's kids for a while. All of this is fun stuff, but I have sewing and crafts, etc. to do. . . not to mention cleaning.

Why not get rid of that rug? Seems like a hassle of having it. A wooden floor is way better! I have no idea how old your kids are but they can also do some households tasks. And so can your husband! My father always helps my mom out with the household!

We have hard wood under the rug, the rug kind of pulls the whole room together. Maybe I can find a way to make it not such a dog hair lover. My kids do little things here and there, my husband works a lot of hours, so I try not to bother him with household stuff.

This is the way my days usually go too. I always think I'll be able to get a lot done on the internet, but I end up having to do a million other things around the house. It is really tough to devote time to doing internet activities! I guess we should be happy because it means there are people in this world who are counting on us!

I hate it when plans change. I know I have a homework assignment that is due tonight and had planned on getting it done Friday, but I never got it done. It has to be two paragraphs long and I have to create a poster. I hope your son had a great time at the homecoming dance. I hate housework, but I know it has to get done.

A very busy day for you. I also always think to spend time writing and making money, but there are other things that make me can not do it to the maximum. Not because my offline activity, but because my internet connection is very slow lately I think to make complaint to the customer service today, it seems like it will take quite a long time.

Yes that really happens but actually you had a great day. Because you were able to do things to show love and care for your loved ones. And I am sure you will be rewarded in every good deed in time. God bless.

I know what you mean, I have been on hiatus from writing all summer and having gotten back to it yet.

i always have days like that but yesterday was a great day. i got lots done around the house and i wanted to do some more laundry today but we ended up going out for lunch after church with my inlaws and then stopped at the dollar store and by the time i got home, i felt sort of lazy and decided to come on here and on pintrest (which is my true addiction) so the laundry will have to wait til tuesday when i have a day off.

i am a working mom but also into writing online. it's not easy juggling between being a working mom and an online writer. there will always be things to do, when you're at work, or at home, trying to write an article in between. most of the time, i end up writing at the end of the day where all the creative juices had run out.
