Good for you. It's interesting what we can find to occupy ourselves when we find we are in a situation that requires rest eh? I bed you made some very colourful things when hubby was doing the yarn shopping for you!

Ummmm, never checked out anything for writing on Pinterest. There is all kinds of stuff on there though, you could check it out.

Winterose, for Pinterest you have to be able to "pin" photographs. I don't know that there is much there for writing except maybe if you can blog and have photos on your blogs. I tried to have a board on some of my blogs and Squidoo lenses but it didn't work out very well there. It's more for sharing photo stories. Anything that is connected to a photo, like crafts, recipes, fashion, decor, etc.

Oh there are a lot of things on Pinterest, not just crafts. Household stuff, recipes, shopping stuff...

Try YouTube for great videos on how to do things too. It's almost amazing what you can find there.

Pretty much anything you want to make, you can find out how on YouTube. I go there a lot as well. I've always wanted to learn how to quilt but just never got around to it. I like going to Pinterest as well for inspiration and ideas. Have you posted on FB? I'd like to look at what you've done!!

Oh I love it. I lose all track of time when I go to make something. The only reason I have time to do it now is because I'm off work for an extended period of time for medical reasons. I will definitely have less time to do it once I get back to work. I would love to make a website for myself, however, I don't know the first thing about creating a web page! I have had all kinds of inquiries though just from posting a pic in my Crafts Album on Facebook. I have sold 4 bracelets already, have orders for 2 more and have several others who have expressed a keen interest in buying them. What I did was made up a few, posted pictures of them, and the told people I would do custom orders in the colours they want.

I have thought of the same thing. But as for inventory, maybe you can make samples of what you make, and post the photos, then make to order the things people want to buy. That way you don't have to have a full inventory and you don't get stuck with a bunch of items you don't end up selling.

Yes, that's a good idea and what I have been doing. I have a few made just so that people know what is available. When I do a custom order, I post a photo of that as well so that people can get ideas of what they want.

True merylinkid. I don't know what I would do with all the bracelets I make though if I didn't sell them or give them as gifts!

Bracelets are little harder. But check with your local shelter -- especially one for teen girls. Often these girls have NOTHING. Maybe a piece of jewelry of their own will help.

That's the thing is having the time. I guess my surgery was a blessing in disguise as I have lots of time at the moment, lol.

Thank you so much. Yes, I agree, there is money to be made but the competition is fierce. However, there is always room at the top, or so the saying goes, lol. I said the same thing--that this time off has led me to find something that I enjoy doing. As long as I'm liking it, it doesn't really matter if I make a lot of money at it or not.

Thank you Raine. I am really enjoying doing the beading and it is something that I can do while I sit and recover from my surgery. I am not much of a television watcher and you can only read so much and lose so many games on FB before you look elsewhere for entertainment!
