Facebook new timeline

I don't know about you but I seriously hate the new facebook timeline that was forced on us a few months back. I mean.. ever heard of "don't fix what's not broken?". Well they fixed it anyway and I hate it!
I find everything so hard to find now within my own timeline. You have to scroll left and right. It was so much easier when everything was in straight row! Also they tend to lump all wall post that is within the same time frame in one box with the List More option which makes it so difficult to respond and most likely than not I will miss a few. I found this out during my birthday when I was trying to thanking friends that wished me.. Result? I had to scroll through that small box over and over again to make sure I didn't miss anyone :(

Hi ladyjava, I commented on the previous page where the discussion was on hiding the timeline and you mentioned Firefox has this as well. I can't find it. I see where I can hide the ticker, toolbar, bookmarks, share button, etc...but no timeline..

When the timeline was released I got it right away. Think about what Facebook looked like when you first joined it, and now think about what it looks like now. As humans we do not like change but we get adjusted to it really fast. I know people are complaining about the new timeline a lot right now but in 3 months it will feel completely natural to all of us and we will have forgotten why we all hated it. Remember when they changed pages from "become a fan" to "like". That change made everyone angry at first but now I doubt half the Facebook community remembers "become a fan".

I hate it too! So many of my friends have stated that you can't find anything anymore. It was so much better when it was all in a straight line. Now it takes forever to find anything if you could even find it. My sister was just complaining about this too. I don't understand why they have to fix things that were not broken in the first place.

I also hate the new time line on face book.I did not ask for the timeline, but was made to have it by face book, shame none of us got the chance to chose what we wanted.
I hate all the changes that face book do all the time, as no sooner have we got use to one way of a change, they change it again.
All my friends that I have on face book also hate the timeline and can not see the point of face book keep changing the way they set it out, as this also puts people off from using face book as often as they use to use it.

Ya.. the new timeline was forced on us recently so no choice but have to live it with.. but thanks to one of the replies here (you might want to scroll up) I found the plugin that is just perfect for me..
I mean others will see the default timetime but at least I will see the one that I like :)

I have heard so many feed-backs from my friends and family about how they dislike the new timeline. I hate how everything just pops into your face every time you open a page. It makes the page look unorganized. I wish they would bring the old timeline back and I regret placing a timeline on my facebook.

I don't think anyone in their right mind would like the new timeline by Facebook; the design is just atrocious and doesn't make much sense! 
And what I really don't comprehend is why we users are not given the option to choose the old layout or change to timeline, and instead we get switched to timeline by default. 
I have a very strong feeling that the Facebook shares tanking in the stock market is largely due to the stupid timeline coming into effect. So far, no one in my friends list has mentioned that they love the timeline; all the comments and status updates I have encountered are all negative remarks about the timeline. It's surprising despite all the negativity regarding the new timeline, the Facebook management are still sticking to it.

every time face book coming with new changes.
Every time the users are suffering.
But after few days, again they start addiction to face book.

I agree with you @ladyjava... I do not prefer the "Timelin"... I like the old one where you can see the updates in one column, simple yet understandable. And yes, looking from right to left can be so annoying! plus you cannot see the latest updates made by your friends in their timelines... You wouldn't know whose pictures, posts and status you and your friends have liked before. Annoying, isn't it?
