I don't know too much about china but I love the fact that Chinese people were hardworking in terms of business. And as we know China and my country Philippines were not in good terms regarding the spratly islands issue. But I don't have any problem with that whatever issues our countries may having it doesn't mean that Chinese and Filipinos can't be friends anymore.

Definitely it will not. We don't need to be affected. For me it's not a big deal about our countries problem. We are in mylot now we should be friends rather than be enemies just only because of that. Welcome to mylot!

I am an African. One thing I know is that people's opinion about China in Africa is diverse. The persons who are well educated and enlightened, on the average, feels that China is expanding her influence over Africa more for her selfish gains. In fact, I refer to China as the new colonial master of Africa! China is ready to work with any government in Africa no matter undemocratic, corrupt or inhuman.
Is China contributing to the development of Africa? The answer is yes. However, is there fairness and equity in the way China deals with African countries? My answer is no.
China has turned most sub-saharan African countries to dumping ground for her cheap and sub-standard products. That's unfair. I agree that many Chinese living abroad are honest and hardworking. However, there are some Chinese living in African countries who are dubious, not law abiding and taking advantage of the weak structures in Africa to exploit the people.
My final thought is that it's high time China became more democratic and respect her citizens. China has become a world power that cannot be ignored. I hope China will be ready to sincerely help African countries to develop.

You are right for some degree. As chinese I love my country. She may be imperfect, she is the only one who I belong to. She has suffered a lot. Concerning to the economy, commodity in our country is not so expensive as she is still a developing country with lots of people in poverty. Maybe she is not so democratic for she is charged of one party. However, I sincerely hope my country to be better via our unremitting endeavour. I hope we chines will make friends with all countries around the world.

I am very keen on traveling and China is on my travel wish list for the future. It is a large country in Asia and its capital city is called Beijing. It is possible to fly there on go on a train all the way from Moscow via Mongolia. I know China has busy cities which have a large population. I imagine rural China is very beautiful. I think it has a fascinating history and a positive future. It is fantastic that My Lot members are all different nationalities and we can learn about each others countries. We can make some lovely friends on fantastic My Lot.

The friend of my mom is chinese. As she told us what's there, it seems like an interesting place to visit. There's the infamous chinese wall and shopping there is fun as well. The service and products are less expensive. I will probably visit one day your country one day. But there's a few things she told us to be careful about. One of them is about the smog. Somtimes you have to wear a mask or something. But that can be explain by the fact that the population is high and so is the number of cars. When she lived there, she used the bike everytime but now everything has changed according to her. She prefers before the cars were everywhere. Then they warned me to not eat street food. That's pretty much all I know. Happy mylotting!

Hi! Before my impression about China is that China is a good, friendly, responsible, and a progressive country. Now with China bullying it's neighbor's? I don't even see China as a friend. And we don't even buy Chinese made products now a days. Who cares. Maybe in the future my perception about China will change. But I don't hate the Chinese people, I only don't want their government.
