Bring Back the Regular Refs

This is getting ridiculous. Last week was bad enough when the refs clearly were losing control of the games. But this week shows enough is enough. So far, in just the early games: 1. Ref throws hat into field of play to mark out of bounds (umm, out of bounds, why is the hat in the field of player). Player steps on it and falls. Luckily player not hurt. But it meant that player was not available as receiver since he was down. 2. Receiver goes down with injury, clearly not advancing the ball any longer. Drops the ball due to extreme pain. Opposing team picks up ball and runs it in for a touchdown. Refs rule it is a touchdown. Then get it together and realize that the ball was dead at the drop. 3. Any call takes several minutes to decide which call is the least controversial. It is taking so long that the announcers are saying it will take several minutes to make a call. I am not saying the refs need to be paid whatever they are asking. But I am saying some compromise better be found quickly.

I am ! Whatever price the real refs want the league should pay them. this has become Amateur night. Each game you just wait for these guys to make a huge mistake! The Commish keeps harking on safety of the game and yet he isn't willing tp pay for real Refs. how stupid is that?!

Safety does not trump dollars apparently. Honestly, the game last night was the worst. The refs clearly did not have control of the game. That is how players get hurt unnecessarily.

Exactly. Someone is going to get hurt , I mean really hurt. I hope if this does happen the player sues the league. Well, I can dream.

they are the professional refs for a reason. They need to come back. The game is getting out of control and the replacement refs do not know the rules the same and no one respects them on the field which was made clear by GB walking off the field last night

The refs are back to mighty cheers from the crowds. It didn't take Packers fans long to start booing calls though. Being a game official in any sport is a tough calling. The replacement refs were definitely not up to snuff and it is good to have the real pros back on the job.

Somehow the boos sound better when its the real refs. :)
