I'm over Facebook, how about you?

Okay, okay I know it's a good way to keep in touch with friends and family, blah, blah, blah, but serisouly, I am over it. I don't care that your child is constipated. I don't care that you're in your late 30's and want to proclaim to the world that you're "going steady." I don't care to read your daily tips on how to become a more positive person, and I certainly don't care about your political rants!
So, who's with me? And please feel free to share some of the most ridicuulous things your Facebook "friends" have shared with the world.

I feel the same way and have been tempted many times to just be done with it. Actually I think i canceled my account for a couple days once and then came back on. There is too much drama on it and too much caused from teading all that is on there from family and friends sometimes. I just can't seem to get myself off of it but I really want to. Some days i find it entertaining on there and other days just feel really annoyed with all the details put on there or just stupid things that I really don't care about or want to know. And I'm tired of people going off on their boyfriend on there and they write back and forth on it actually fighting ...its ridiculous!

The ones that I know that are fighting on there are my age or a year younger...and there is no way I would ever put stuff like that on there! This one girl from my highschool still acts like she's in highschool! She will write on there on monday how much she loves him...then Tuesday she says she is alone and has no one...then Wednesday she changes her status to single. Then Friday comes along and she is so happy and loves him. Then Saturday she changes her status to engaged. This goes on at least every other week!! Its ridiculous!

Oh my gosh, doesn't it just kill you?! I wish this thing would let me copy and paste so I could post a status I saw the other day. It was all of these weird calculations about how this guy and his fiance figured out what day to get married. It was like "my kid's birthday is 2/17 and 2 plus 17 is 19 and 1 plus 9 is blah, blah, blah..." And I'm going, seriously, are you not 35 years old? And then there's my 37 year old sister, "cough, sniff, I have a cold" or "I had a nightmare :(" Ugh.

I think your post sums up my feelings of Facebook very well. And oh how I love the public arguing on Facebook. People are so dumb. Arguments with your significant other are private...why would you ever want to post it for everyone to read?! I often wonder if the like or dislike of Facebook correlates to one's age. I would think the more mature you are, the less you enjoy reading everyone's drama. Thought?

I have been out of facebook for quite awhile because my account was "hacked". It really did not bother me that it was hacked.I was surprised that it really did not bother me that much.I can live without FB anyways. But then I am back on FB because of some "business" but I am using it just for business sake.Hehehe.

That would be an excellent excuse to get off Facebook permanantly! Sorry, my account was hacked and I don't want to risk it.
Back on for "business" huh? Hehe

It is strange, but I have felt like that as well for a long time about facebook and to be honest I use to make sure that I would always say happy birthday to everyone when it was their birthday, now I just can not be bothered with it.
Mind you, I have noticed faster by looking at face book, who is stabbing who in the back, who is a back stabber and who not to trust as a friend, so some good has come out of it over the years, lol.

You're right, you can definitely find out who the back stabbers are. There is just so much drama on there. I almost never post anything on there.
