Is there any way that I can eat my fast food slowly?

I have a problem. I have been experimenting with a fast food diet. Initially it started well, a burger at 15mph was consumed with one hand on the wheel. However, pizza, extra pepperoni, at 35mph was much harder and I nearly tailgated a pickup truck. I saw that the driver was chewing on a hot dog so immediately detoured to find one. OK...Hot dogs are good to 55mph. I reckon on a meal a journey so I am devouring around 50 burger, dogs, pizzas or chicken sandwiches a day. The biggest problem though has been fries and milk shake at 70mph. Does anyone have any idea just how mot clean chocolate shake from the vehicle upholstery? Can't stop to clean it because every time I drive off I am cramming some food or other. And let's not get onto the subject of fries. I love ketchup with mine but I'm not sure that I can afford the washing detergent anymore.

If you keep one hand on the wheel and the other full of food, eventually while you're watching what drops or spills where...you will forget all about buying gas (petrol). Once your car becomes esentially a paperweight, you will have more time to enjoy your food. Or, maybe not. Fast food doesn't taste good when it gets cold.

Hmm.....good point....can I balance a camping gas stove on my knee too? That way my food stays not.

I think most probably you should try to spend more time to eating rather than trying to go for fast food because we need to enjoy the food we eat and also try to spend more time eating than eating very quickly.

So the math question is: A vehicle is traveling 15mph, a burger in one hand and the steering wheel in the other.....at what time will the vehicle reach its destination if the driver finishes the burger or if the driver drops the burger in the passenger seat? Hmmm is it absolutely essential that you eat while driving, like because you drive for work and can't stop, or can you pull over and enjoy your food and digest it properly? And if you do drive for a living, aren't you allowed a break time to eat and rest?

But if I stop Sarah then it ceases to be fast food. Now slow food is a whole different, and infinitely more attractive proposition.

It's way past your bed time and you've lost the plot. In answer to your question, apparently the M25 in rush hour is a good place to slow down.

Frankly speaking, I was wondering if this is a joke,,Yes there is a way that you can eat your fast food slowly..Sit at a table, sit on a park bench sit any where except behind the wheel of a car...How dangereous is that.. I know a lot of people do it but its just as dangereous as talking on a cell phone or putting on makeup while driving...and its a practice that has to be changed..

Perhaps P1ke should have put this in Panda Spanking, which is something that really can't be done at anything more than 3 mph. I prefer to spank my pandas while stationary (me, that is, they tend not to stay stationary while being spanked), since my aim these days is not quite what it once was. I used to be able to do it at quite a good speed, even while munching on a ham roll simultaneously. Of course it wasn't a joke, you have done well to bring our attention to the dangers. Lash

That's a good idea bcc. Unfortunately by the time that I have found a table I have eaten my food....... Life presents so many problems at times!

Hi, That's life on a fast lane, can't keep up with it, gives me indigestion every time. Stopping by the wayside to eat is my idea of a good and happy eating. How about getting that camping stove out on your knee and settling down on one of the parkways to boil that chocolate. Sounds fun to me, watching the speedsters go by and taking note of the things they stuff themselves with while on the go.

I think it is not possible to eat food from the fast food slowly. I think most people tries to eat at fast food because they are busy in life and try to eat the food fast. I think you should try to eat homely food if possible. I think homely food are very tasty and good for health.

P1key,I think your first problem here has to be that pizza with extra pepperoni..that is NOT a beginner's fast food..you made a (fairly) good start with the Burger,(how sloppy was it?) Ideally, you'd start with a Cheeseburger,(no onions or relish,of course!) in a plain bun..Chips are optional at this point.Seeded buns and condiments come later... Then,Move on to Battered sausages,or maybe even chicken nuggets until you get some more practice in..on NO account try for a chili kebab at this early stage..that's for the experts...the other thing is,I notice you seem to be pushing your training too fast..with that level of commitment, you'll be lucky to get in the car and your gut under the wheel the way you're going!

I assume it is possible to eat fast food slowly, but since the pop culture on ordering fast food for vast majority of people is to save time from home cooking in the first place, they tend to eat them fast too rather than take their own sweet time to enjoy the food while on the move.
