I discovered this author during my vacations to Sanibel Island, FL. I am currently reading his Doc Ford series and I find myself really enjoying them. I was lucky enough to meet this author and his wife when they happened to sit down next to me at a bar when I was visiting a friend at work. He is very friendly and very low key. These mystery novels are based in Southwest Florida, but also include a lot about Central America. I am totally fascinated with the author's knowledge about the subject matter. So if you're looking for a good mystery series with some interesting lead characters, these just might be for you. I think there are 19 books in the Doc Ford series.
