Kitchen Dates

So there is this nice girl I have been talking to for the past week or so. We have become pretty close friends and I invited her over for a "kitchen date." I was suggesting some dishes to her but she said she wanted it to be a "surprise." I have absolutely no idea what to buy ingredients wise/what the item should be. Any suggestions? Things to know: -allergic to nuts -prefer a southern/country dish About the only thing I can really think of to make is homemade biscuits.
