The second last match of the group stage is between Ireland and West Indies. The winning team goes through to the next round while the losers go home. This will also be Trent Johnston's final match for Ireland. Could that be the motivation they need to win against a top team?

hi friend it is really going to be a great match both teams are in do or die conditions so friend any thing can happen because i think west indies have upper hand in this match because they really perform great against australia but it is their bad luck because of that they loose match .if Ireland able to get out gayle early then their have some chances of Ireland in this match .

Hello guyz, I was also expecting a terrific innings from Chris Gayle and Pollard. Unfortunately rain interrupted the match and it is called off. I hope we can see some exciting innings from Gayle and others in the super 8 matches .

The match has been abandoned so West Indies are through to the Super Eights are through to the Super Eights and Ireland are going back to home. THis something like the WI has gone without winning a game in supereight like the way England did in 2010 and won it. West Indies were always favorites to chase the small total by IRishs.
Ireland 129/6 (19.0/19 ov) in the match and it abandoned. I think WI might go like the england last time may they won this

I think Windies have a clear edge over Irish side with their ability, experience, depth and firepower. But then Windies are an unpredictable side and in T20 anything can happen. Also, Windies were looking good in last match against Aussies but just lost out on D/L method.

It was really sad to see Ireland go out due to rain. Year after year ICC organizes tournaments in Sri Lanka that always get affected by rain and makes a mockery of the tournament and yet they continue to do that. I thought had it been a full match, it could have been a real good contest between the two teams as Ireland is a fantastic fielding unit.
Cheers!

I am sure that this match will be a thriller. The winning team will advance to the next round while the loosing team will be out of the tournament. I think West Indies have more chances of winning. Now they have Gayle, Pollard and other talented players in their squad and they are too good in t20 matches .
