Is eating chicken good during fever?

September 24, 2012 6:15am CST
I'm suffering from fever since yesterday morning. And at night i ate chicken in dinner. I had medicines too but still I'm not feeling well. Does this due to meat? Is it good to have meat during fever or not?

When you're sick, if you can eat, it's good for you. You need to keep up your strength and of course, food will do that. Liquids, such as water and orange juice are very good for you too and help keep your body hydrated. The chicken would not cause you to be sick unless it was going bad. Otherwise, its very good for you and will help you get better, as will most other foods.

Chicken soup is a traditional remedy for people suffering from colds and flu. If you have fever because of these, then chicken soup is good for you. Fever is usually a symptom of another medical condition like infection. Seek professional health care if ti does not go down soon. Get well soon.:)

I believe eating meat and chicken cannot make you any worse if you have fever.

Unless if the chicken meat is contaminated. Eating it will nourish your body and will give your more strength to fight the infection. Also drink a lot of fluids specially fruit juices. Don't forget to take your medication on time, and if it persist see a doctor for a check up.

No, I dont think eating meat have a connection to a fever as long as you are not allergic to any meat that you eat.
