Too lazy to write?

Sometimes I just read the discussions, and think about responding with something, but get too lazy to really say anything. Do any of you ever do that? Sometimes it really gets to me because I know I could be earning with every post, but because I'm either too lazy, or just not that interested in the topic, I don't post, and miss out on the earnings. Maybe it's because I'm really not that interested in the topic. But how many of you just read the discussions, and for some reason or another don't respond, even when you know you could earn a few extra cents from an extra post?

If you will feel lazy for writing in mylot then no earning is possible. So leave the laziness and enjoy here. This feeling is come if you are doing work in mylot since more hours but if you are working for some time then no feel this. If I opened any discussion and read then respond on it not leave without respond not feel laziness.

surekha:
you are good in responding all responses. When you post reply comments responder feels happy. also we earn more if we type more. so we should make quality responses/replies and earn more.

That's a reason I don't always write either. I'd much rather have a few good-quality posts than many shorts, irrelevant posts.

I guess I kind of get the similar feeling but I usually don't respond for other reasons. I can read through a whole topic and be really interested in it but I always ask myself this question, "Am I just responding for the sake of responding, or do I really have something to contribute to the discussion?". Hundreds of discussions are made on MyLot each day and you should never feel like you have to respond to all of them because you most likely won't be making quality posts unless you REALLY have something to say about the discussion.

I agree with that. I don't like to respond unless I really have something I want to contribute to and let others know. Usually I scroll through the "today's top" discussions, but so few of them really interest me that much, or if they do, I don't have anything in particular to contribute to.

It is perfectly in order for us not to be interested in all the subjects. Out interests change as age advances. as a boy we like playing toys, games. After coming to teen age --likes are changed to reading , watching movie, being with friends etc. it goes on like this.
among mylot members elders like me have interest in a certain variety of topics while the younger generation will have interest in some other area. I respond only for topics where I can contribute more.

For me I get writers block, I see discussions want to reply but just cannot get the words out in text! Sometimes I suffer with 'burn out' in that I have done too many responses and discussions or I've been on Mylot too long. It's best to have a break and come back when you are feeler much fresher and more alert. Some days I don't go on Mylot at all, but when I return I have the incentive to respond and discuss. Maybe give yourself a break from Mylot, it's not lazy, it's just a case that you need a break.

Maybe I do suffer from a burn out sometimes. Especially with all the changes going on in my life right now. Thinking about writing some posts for some change just adds to my already overwhelming life. Maybe I do need a break. Not just from mylot, but from everything, take a day off, or a small vacation to recharge and refresh my mind.

Laziness -- this is prevalent in most of us. We all want to earn in dollars when we can earn in cents and that makes it a reason for avoiding. True we read a lot of discussions and we reply out of that a few only. It is because we must respond only in respect of discussions where we are more confident. Laziness will go if I understand I get paid.

It happens to me also but not because of being lazy, sometimes i just find my response not so appropriate, or sometimes i open a discussion by reading its title but can't relate with the matter inside. I wonder to see many fellow mylotters here, how they respond to so many discussions from different topics and they express so well..I try to post as much as i can in order to increase my earnings here but not success yet..

I do read, like and comment nicely on every topic that I read. I read many discussions daily.

I do get to a point where I have to just respond at a later time. I will look at the discussions to see what they are, but I don't always feel like responding. If I can't even respond to a discussion that I know a lot about, that's when I know I need to take a break. I only mylot when I have the time and the words. Other times, I am just checking out the discussions posted. It is a way of seeing what everyone else is discussing. I am not always interested or in the mood.

I can get like that sometimes, even though I know that I should be writing something. I am a writer as a living, and I should be writing at least 10 articles per day to be able to make enough money to pay the bills and have enough to put aside for a couple of things that I am trying to save up for at the moment. But a lot of the time I just struggle to think about things that I could write about, and then I end up hardly writing anything during a full day. It makes me feel guilty when I go to bed because I hate relying on other people, but there is very little that I can do about it.

With various purposes, we are motivated to respond those posts in different degree.
The reason why I come here is to know what the people around the world are thinking and talking about and to practice writing as well. Therefore, I am highly motivated. While only to earn few extra cents can not drive you very much, because it's such a little amount of money.

hi there!
I feel the same way. this maybe just a season where you just don't want to do anything. Anyways, try to focus on the things that interests you. it would fire you up!

I think we are with no need for forcing ourselves to response to those discussions that we are not interested in. Everytime when I find something I am interested in, I will make a comment. However, if I have no interest about the topic, I will not waste a lot of time to think what I should write and it applies to post discussions:)

I would not call you lazy...but perhaps you need to ask youself
why are you here?? then you will either do better at posting
and/or responding...I don't think anyone here can direct you on
what topics are good for your or not good for you unless theyn
are familiar with who you are...and even then I am not sure if
anyone would take it upon themselves to suggest certain topices
to you...
figure out why you registered here at mylot and you should really
have the answer to your question...
Good luck and welcome to mylot....
