Something about our country

China

I just saw a discussion, a guy ask if we proud of our culture. Once I say the discussion,I am really feel sad. Yes,I do proud of the traditional culture in my country. But I feel ashamed about many of people in nowadays. Because in my country, you cannot say everything you wanna say freely. For example, you cannot type the word "government" on most of website or network community,it's sensitive. And food in here is not pure and safe. You can read news with this themes everyday: A restaurant wash bowls by the water that washed hundreds of bowls already, beef which you just ate is not really beef,Melamine in the milk produced by the largest milk company that you drink everyday is 500 times as much as the national standards, and the like. And recently, our country have some dispute about a island with another country.Do you guys know how were some of my compatriot expressed their emotion about "Love our county"? They did something awfully.

China has a rich and fascinating history and culture, many facets seeming confusing and hard to understand to us. It is sad to hear you must endure these hardships, hopefully things will improve over time. Perhaps what is more daunting and worrying to us here is China's continued occupation of Tibet all the best, urban

When we think about and discuss something,we should combine its history and reality together, and other elements, things happen always come with a reason, why those thing you mentioned happen basic because now it is the changing periods of China, every developed country will have that phase,we just start late so if you compare with developed country that we do not doing good, yes this is right definitely, but if you compare with our old days or other countries start modernization later than us,then you will figure out that we doing a really good job, every small progress should be praised.Besides, now China face the international environment is not very friendly so this is another reason, politics is such a complicate stuff, but if we all join together tightly, our country will become better and better.

Dear urbandekay, regarding to your concern about Tibet, pls do not just listen to others comments,if you want to know more clear pls look up some real world history,Tibet always belong to China,by the way,do you know "McMahon Line",that is the unstable issue between China and India and as for why it happen pls look up your UK history. Still that saying, politics is very complicated, different people from different country keep different attitude,so it need some wisdom person to figure those issue.

You can't feel responsible for what your government is deciding or doing or did (in the past). Most countries don't have great history if it comes to be cruel to others and if it's not the country it's the religion. And what you describe about the food etc.. this happens everywhere all over the world. You really think McDonalds or most other restaurants are clean or work with clean food, plates etc? We have a programm over here.. guy visiting restaurants etc.. you are shocked if you see the dirt, mess, kind of food they serve. Fact is nobody notices and in most cases we even don't get sick of it. If it comes to religion, politics in most countries you are not allowed to talk about your opinion no matter if it's written in the law you have that right. These subjects always seems to start fights and if it comes to the islamitic people a lot of agression. I wonder why some people always feel or say (lie) it's a personal attack and others (other religions) don't feel/see it that way. To make a long story short: be responsible for your own deeds and life. Say what you think is right. In the end you have to live with you and be satisfied about what you did with your life. Everybody has the right to think what he/she wants no matter if there is a government who forbids it or not.

I just thought food in America or British or some other country which more developed are more safe, and people have more freedom about talk. Maybe there are just similar in all of countries around the world.

Here in Britain, even dog food must be passed fit for human consumption and we have very strict hygiene laws. Of course, if you choose to eat at McVomits, then you get what you deserve! all the best, urban

Haven't come across with that discussion yet. Each country is unique in the sense that each has different culture and tradition. We should be proud of that. There are even tradition in other countries which we wish we also have in our country. But that is where we are identified from other countries. In my country, there are those who imitated what other countries are doing.

Come on ,budy, have some faith in your own country. China has improved a lot comparing to 10 years ago, but still has lots of problems including what you said. Realizing probloms is the first step of solving problems. I firmly believe it will be improved as more and more people have realized the problems. All the exsiting problems reveal that we still need more reformaiton in social systems ,educations ,laws. As a chinese young man, I used to feel angry and resentful about social problems. Now I would like to learn about the problems and find out the causes and possible solutions, and share with my friends and people around.

I've traveled to many different country and I've experience and seen many things. but something i realized is: those stuff that are so different in each country is what makes them so unique, some people don't understand how much freedom they got. the suckiest part is that only you will feel your pain, and its not that easy to change the world when its just you"
