Definitely! My mom 5'6, dad 5'10", brother 6'1" and sister 5'11" . I only stand 5'3". I get so uncomfortable when we are all together. I am the eldest and yet both of my siblings are way up there and I am way down here. Back then, I really wanted to do something about getting atleast an inch or 2 taller but found no means.

hahaha! thanks for those kind words! I guess it was because I don't like milk too much when I was younger. Both my siblings now are over 30 years old and yet they still love drinking milk. I can only tolerate milk with oatmeal and cereal, but drinking a glassful, makes me wanna throw up.

because petite people then to look forever young. you're lactose-intolerant then. but i did have an officemate who couldn't drink formula also but she's also tall. (i can't remember if she drank cow's milk or goat's milk.) growing up, we only had water, milo, milk and juice so i guess i'm thankful my parents were strict.
maybe you take afternoon naps either and would rather play or watch tv!

i don't mean to rub it in, but it's kinda strange that you're shorter than your mom. my siblings and i are tall, but i've noticed that my brothers are either as tall or taller than my father, while my sisters and i are either as tall or taller than my mother. oh, well, you're probably the smartest and the cutest! :)

I don't feel depressed. I just tell myself that he or she is just lucky to have that position. I wish that someday, my financial status will become better than today. I do't care if my position is lower than others. I after my possessions. LOL. Don't be depressed. Feel proud of yourself. If you're doing your best that's your achievement. Who knows that that high person has more problems than you. I guess you're more fortunate than him. Happy mylotting.

Yes, instead of feeling bad, we can make friends. Who knows, someday we'll be higher than them. LOL

What do you mean higher person? Taller or do you mean higher in position or status? Whatever it is you mean, I don't get depressed at all. I don't think a person should be depressed or sad when they stand beside someone higher because we are all humans and created equally. When someone is higher beside me, I feel proud and happy for her and get inspired that one day I'll be the same.

I know what you mean by this, and I have to say that I have a friend who has just got a very good job and I do get a little bit depressed when I am with her and she is talking about her new life with this job. It seems that she is in a position where she doesn't have to try very hard to earn her money, and she is given a lot of money indeed, so it is not fair that I have to work so hard for such a small amount of money because I can hardly even afford to pay the bills some months whereas she is able to go out and buy pretty much whatever she likes because of her new job.

Sometimes I feel so downgraded when I stand with higher person but it should not make me a shame because we are all human and no matter how high their position or how rich they are. They should serve as our inspiration and we have to do something in order to be like them in our own way.

Haha...I haven't even reached five feet tall but my height or the lack of it never bothered me except when I purchase ready made dresses that I have to bring to dress shop for repair. I guess it is just a matter of mind. For me, what is important is how I feel about myself, what i know and what I believe in and armed with such thoughts, I feel no amount of insecurity even if I stood beside a seven-footer person.

You are depressed because you are ashamed of yourself, and jealous towards tall people. I think this is bad for you. i mean, there's no way you can change your height (unless you are still growing, then i'll buy you milk hehe). It is better if you try accepting yourself as you are. I'm short myself, but i can live with that.

Okay I understand what you are saying. I too feel it sometimes but I don't show it. I want to be better. My hubby these days is doing meeting with Ministers and he tells me the same that he gets depressed when he sits with big people. I told him that his day will come soon too. So I think it is normal feeling. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful day ahead .

Yes I have that feeling especially in my old days, when I was a high school student I play basketball frequently, and I always feel depressed when my opponent was much higher than me.But now I think that is OK,we have face the reality and get through it.
