I am in so much pain this morning. Not my head, thank goodness. But my arms and legs are just causing me tremendous problems. Does anyone know anything that I could do to ease the pain? I mean besides pain medication. I'm thinking it's just fibromyalgia. I'd appreciate any tips.

just massage a little bit of the part where you can feel the ache with liniment. just be careful not to cause more ache on it. just slightly rub the veins until you can feel some relieved. or hot compress it. or better know the reasons why it hurt. be careful :)

Hi Hun, Sorry to hear that your in pain. The things I find that work best are as follows and I usually do them in these 3 steps and it works for me! First I go for a little walk to try to loosen things up a bit. Next I have a hot, relaxing bath to keep loosening the muscles and joints up. Thirdly I make a cup of tea or hot chocolate with extra marshmallows and jump under the covers. Hope this helps and that you get feeling better fast my dear. Hugzz, PurpleTeddyBear

You mentioned in an above response about a massage. I have a woman in my church who has been after me for years for me to let her give me a massage every week in hopes the migraines go away. She only ever works on my back and neck though. However, the appointment was canceled this week, so she couldn't help. I don't even know if she could have helped this. The pain didn't really feel like it could be massaged away. But then, what do I know?

Sometimes even the worst of pains feel like they could never be massaged away, but one never knows. One day my back was so sore I could barely get out of bed as it hut to stand straight up (was walking hunch backed) BUT after I had straightened it out enough to lay down in a hot relaxing bath my boyfriend gave me a massage and my back felt good as new!

Have you ever tried epson salts? Alittle in warm water in your tub and soaking in it for awhile can relieve pain. Stuff an old sock with rice and tie a know in it. Then warm it in the microwave and put it on the soar area for awhile. And last but not last is relaxation. Using some meditation and relaxation methods can lower the pain. Good luck to you!

I can give you two sites that I believe are very good. www.earthclinic.com/CURES/fibromyalgia_remedies.html and www.livestrong.com/article/408326-herbs-that-assist-in-helping-fibromyalgia/?utm_source=undefined_R1 I hope you find these useful.

You better see a doctor. Its better to be sure before you medicate yourself. Another common disease now to women is slipped disc. It happens in our spine, where in, pain radiates in our arms and legs due to pressure to our nerve roots.

I've had several back and neck surgeries. So unfortunately, I'm familiar with that.

I don't know about fibromyalgia, but I do have aches and pains quite often. I find that mild exercise like a slow walk or stretching helps. At times, I just lie down and cover up to get really warm and the aches seem to fade away. I hope you can find a method that works for you.

No, I have arthritis in my spine, but not arms and legs. I think it's fibro.

hi AmbiePam my friend nelda has a lot of leg pain and she uses a rub on called Icy hot and she says it really does work too. I have these cramps in the middle of the night and have to just walk them off. a few years ago you could get tablets that stopped those cramps. they had quinine in them and so they were stopped from making them. darn they really worked and without any side effects either.as I am on lasix daily I am given a potassium pill daily but still g et the damned cramps not every nigt but a lot o f nights.Heat I think would alleviate a lot of that pain.I know if one takes too m uch potassium iot will slow y our heart donw too much.

I am so sorry that you have pain my dear. I do not know what to recommend except taking pain medication. I have had pain in my neck, shoulder, left arm and hand since my surgery. My neck was messed up during surgery so this is the cause but it has got better and hopefully I will be pain free in less than six months. I do not know much about fibromyalgia - except that it is painful. I hope that the pain eases soon for you

Hi, I always have that specially if my position in bed while sleeping is not good. What I always do is put a hot compress to the painful area. It works for me. I hope it will work for you too. :)

One of the best things to do, that I forget, is to have a warm bath in a tub with Epsom salts. It seems to ease many things that hurt me. I hope it gets better as the day goes on. I was that way that one weekend, but I also had a fever and headache. Let us know what works for you.

My leg hurt like that this morning....and I don't know what you can do. I don't know anything about fibromyalgia.....I wish I did and wish I could help you out. Does heat help at all? Like taking a warm bath?
