I'm thinking about getting the Martha Stewart Every Day foods cookbooks. We've been getting the magazine because my husband got a subscription for Christmas, and he really has been enjoying the recipes. But it might just be a waste of money and space because, really, there are so many recipes on the internet. It's just nice to look through a book. (I am actually just going to use amazon gift cards that I got from doing swagbucks, so it's kind of free).

The only recipe books I normally look at are those which are talking about a specific techniques, some sort of preserving for instance, or perhaps making cheese. In the absence of a book handy I'd use the net. I rarely look books them for meal ideas therefore there is little point in my buying them.

I agree, the internet is huge, and pretty much any and every recipe is on there.

I don’t usually buy recipe books but rather I watched videos on how to’s such as cooking. It’s more convenient for me since I don’t normally cook so, by watching videos on cooking it somehow helps in my preparation for some dish.

I have a couple of cookbooks in my home. I bought them several years ago. My friend and I passed a bookshop and we discovered some cheap cookbooks with food from around the world. I love food from other countries and I decided to buy those books. One of them was from India and I found some nice recipes in that book. Today I don't usually buy recipe books. I collect the interesting recipes from the magazines that I read, and I have a lot of them already, but most of the time I prefer to use the internet. When I am looking for a new recipe the internet is the first place that I check and I am usually able to find the recipes that I need on the internet.

Hi Cute, when we don't have any internet at home, we would buy recipe books. There are quite a lot recipe books from many places in my collection. Recently, i had gave some of them away to my relatives, who are searching for them. Nowadays, i am using the internet to search for new recipes. It is very economical and easy for me to search for recipes. Besides that, i don't have to worry about the space that i need to store my recipe books. Because nowadays, i am using paperless recipe book.

Hi Cute, AS far as I can remember, I only bought recipe book once. Most of the recipe books I have were gifts from family and friends. I am lucky enough to be receiving such gifts from them.

I have never purchased a cook book for myself. I just use the internet if I need to cook something :). Though, having a physical cook book is not a bad idea after all, it can come to you handy at any time.

Honestly I don't buy any recipe books! Reason being that every recipe you could ever dream of is on the internet somewhere and probably the best reason with that is being that it's FREE! Also magazines and books take up space! However you did say that you were going to purchase them with Amazon gift cards from swagbucks so in a round about way it is free! So I say YAY FOR FREE!

No, I don't purchase any magazines or cookbook. I prefer watching it on Youtube and for me It is much better than any cookbook and I like it because I can see how the cooking is done. You can also choose a different way and style of cooking of your preferred dish.
