The City Services Cheated Us.

Electricity, water, telephone communications are but the the three services we utilize all the time, the necessities we cannot do without, and definitely, just about the three things that take up the bulk of our monthly expenses.
Bills to pay!
Two months ago, the telecommunications, namely Globe and Smart, were being asked to explain why, with the staggering amount they charge their clients, there are still messages not sent, meaning the charges are not commensurate to the defective signals they give. Yesterday, they were seriously given warning that if they can't get their systems right, they might be ordered not to accept subscribers anymore.
A month and a half ago, the water companies, namely MWSS, Maynilad and Manila Water, were questioned for charging us for the pipes, one that existed already a long time ago, and if they installed new ones, the capital must never be charged on the customers.
A fortnight ago, it was discovered Meralco was charging the clients twice for energy use. And now they could not quite think of a way to give the extra charge they made back to the clients.
These city services feasted on our souls for the longest time. Burnt in hell? That is too soft. Those vultures do not feel scorching. Even the devil is afraid of them.

As an employee who pays the correct taxes as they fall due, i think it is just but proper that every drop of my hard earned money goes to pay my bills, provided that they are correct and no hidden charges.
It was indeed shocking when the news last night tackled on how we are doubly being charged for our electricity. And to think that even us ,ordinary people are affected. Good, if we are one of those rich people, where it would not be a bother to be charged exorbitantly.

It is good that there are others who are taking a closer look at this things since we the ordinary consumers are not aware of this. They are really hiding all of these cost to various charges they put in our bill that we do not look into the details of it.
I just heard that Meralco is in the mood to repay these back to the consumers but I think their suppliers are opposing for the refund for some reasons again. I hope other service providers would follow suit in overcharging us.

Meralco is reluctant to pay, otherwise there is no reason why our electricity is free now. I want the interest, too.

These companies are just about as corrupt as you can get in many places in the world. I know that I have had the same problem with the companies here in the US. My water got shut off a couple of weeks ago, but I had paid the bill and when I called about it, was told that they just had not processed the payment yet. I had paid cash in the office over a week before. UGH!! They did agree to send someone to turn it on, but said that I would have a reconnect fee to pay. I should not have to pay that as it was their fault not mine.

I just received a warning from a telecommunication company reminding me to pay on time else they would charge me fifty pesos for late payment. I almost cursed, for I had been a subscriber for the past dozen years and not once did I pay late.

For the reason that mobile phones becomes a necessity to every Filipino nationwide, it also becomes one of the biggest business here in our country. And because the demand is way high, the telecom companies cannot cope up with the demand. And because of this, all of us felt cheated because of the degrading services offered by these providers. And worst, they continue to charge us with high rates simply because of greediness.

With that much proof, would your local government do something about on behalf of people who file those complaints. Or would your people, or the local residents stand up to fight for those outrageous charges that shouldn't be charge or you simply kept the mouth shut, and let them continue to take advantage of your people. Don't be afraid, that is the problem, somehow you gotta to solve it. Either through the force of common people, or let the government do it right for you. That is their job, isn't it?

These companies are under fire now. I hope it does not take long, for them to give us back our money.

Same thing also happened here in the south. There are times when we were billed twice for the water and electric bills. Fortunately for us, we kept our receipts so that the record is reconciled. I guess there are times that employees in the water district and electric coop made errors or whatever we think. Sometimes I think badly at it but I tried not think so much of intended errors. However, I can not control it but I can think of the bad side.

Once I had a rift with a local branch head of the only electric company this corner of the world has. The company was charging us for something we did not consume. I asked the branch head it that policy was alright with him. He said that her goes with the policy because he is part of the company. He doesn't believe in it but he provides for his family, and his family is important to him.

Hi Hatley, the three year incumbency President Aquino had unraveled the corruption that is our once respected businessmen, and of course, local leaders and congressmen. Cases had been files, most especially by the Bureau of Internal Revenue, as we have now a Commission on Audit that is really scrutinizing the littlest of receipts. The basic services had been caught, and they will pay for it, I hope sooner, so I can have my money back, and use it for my own. I am musing about the interest, and I hope they include it.

This is what I truly believe that throughout utilities companies and including other companies they are out to cheat you. Which ever way they can. I don't believe any company in the world is truly legit completely and are just interested in the money they can make. I believe that there is corruption throughout the world and it will never end unless the world comes to an end.

It's really sad to be living in this country that robs us of our hard earned money.
Just saw in the news a couple of days ago how our government claims that they are subsidising the electric bill but the truth is they pass it on to the consumer.

The electric, water and communication companies are privately owned, except for the MWSS. The government is the one opening the books, for correct audit and appropriate taxes.

We are loaded with thinking of how we can cope up with our daily expenses, trying to cut which should be cut and actually has been cut several times. We were like zombies at night trying to reach the offed switch to light up the kitchen and toilet which hope to reduce consumption. Catch the water as you take a bath for purpose of cleaning and flushing. Wait for too slow response of internet, just keep on and off for ten secs. up to an hour. Things that we trying to understand for as long as the patience in us is still dripping. We are paying in full but we need to slice off the use which is actually incorporated to what has been billed for payment. We are being manipulated by their own mathematical equation.
