Hypnagogia

Right before I fall asleep I often experience visual hallucinations and as well as auditory hallucinations. I see a lot of different pictures and the pictures don't make sense they simply appear and disappear. The auditory hallucinations are voices, but it is often hard to understand the sentences. It not like a conversation with sentence after sentence, it is more like words that don't belong together or half a sentence. Some time ago I discovered that those hallucinations are quite common (according to one survey 37% of the population experience those hallucinations before sleep) and it has a name. It is called Hypnagogia.
Have you heard about hypnagogia before? Do any of you experience visual or auditory hallucinations right before you fall asleep? Which things do you see or hear?

Wow. So it actually has a name. I'm not sure of visual hallucinations but i do experience auditory hallucination, but i thought that was just me loosing focus because of sleepiness.

I was also surpriced to find out that it has a name and that it is quite common. I don't experience it every time before I fall asleep or if I do I don't notice it, but sometimes I have those visual and auditory hallucinations before I sleep. They never make much much sense and the pictures and the sounds are quite confusing. Thanks for responding, I was curious to know if other people experience the same thing.
