Okay I don't have kids but ran across this article on yahoo where a father blogged that his older son is his favorite. I do believe parents do have favorites because I have friends tell me so. I do think this father should not have blogged this because it will really hurt the other child if he reads this...Your thoughts?

I guess it really just depends on the parents. Each parent may gravitate towards a different child simply because they have more in common as far as personalities and interests. I've known parents that make it obvious that they love one of their kids more than the other, like the blog you saw, and I think that's rather cruel. I have an older sister, and as far as I can remember my parents didn't treat one of us better than the other. How about you, do you have any siblings?

I'm also an only child. I have a half sister and brother on my dads side but my mother's only child.
