Which of these two are better Private School or Public School?Schools are the best places where your kids learn. It is not how expensive or how cheap the school is,but it is the quality of education that a school provides.Well, I was enrolled into a public school when I was young.I was never enrolled into a public school. But now that I am a parent,I have enrolled my son also into a private school but I was dismayed because of the quality of their education is not good.Maybe it depends on the school but I find schools that are more focused on extra curricular activities than academic. My father also was been enrolled into a public school when he was a child but then he does not want to enroll his kids and his grandson into a public school.Well,I have been asking why?But I think it depends on kids on how they will learn from school no matter what school they are enrolled. How about you guys?Share your experiences and thoughts here. What do you think is better?

I was enrolled in a public school when I was elementary & high school student.I didn't have any regrets because my teachers were all great. They did their best for us to learn. Now, I enrolled my son to the same school. They have new teachers nowadays.Unfortunately, the teachers now don't do their best to catch their students' attention. They don't even train them how to write correctly. They just stand up there, talking and writing.I wish they should roam around and check all students if they are doing good. :)

adhyz82, most of the teachers now are young and fresh graduates. I guess older teachers are better than them. They can't handle bully students that much and children don't obey them.

I am from a public school since elementary and high school. Currently, I am in a private university to finish my college. I can really say that there are a lot of difference if your setting is here in our country. First thing would be the facilities, most public school here lack a decent facility for conducive education and another would be the teachers themselves. I am just lucky enough because the public school from my elementary and high school were doing an excellent job in raising students to be better person.

Well, I went to public school when I was a little girl and now that I have children of my own that are in school right now, they are in public school as well. The reason that I choose to send them to public school is because of the fact that it is free to attend public schools (we pay taxes that fund the public schools). However, when choosing where we were going to live, we specifically looked for a home that was in a school district that did have high quality public schools.

I studied in private schools almost all my school life and with my son, I'd have him enrolled in a private school as well. Teachers can focus more on their students since they dont have that much students compared to public classes.

For me, I think it is better in Public school. Because in Private school they more strict and high tuition fee salary but they were just both in quality of teaching education. While the public school, they were low in tuition fee salary and they more practical to teach the children ability. I was also enrolled in public school and i know that there teaching rules were more appropriate than the public school.

I have taught in both public schools and private schools. Public schools are by far the best. They prepare children better for the reality of adulthood. Privates schools have definite positives, like smaller classes, less disruptions, better facilities, and more materials. Public schools usually have a curriculum that better prepares a child for post secondary education.

I do not know but today here in our country. It depends on the private school because of what I have experienced when I was enrolled into private schools and compared today,I have enrolled my son into a private school.I was so annoyed because of the quality of education they provide. We all know that private schools is better than public but still it depends on the school.I have noticed that they do not even done half of their lessons.I have checked the books of my son and they only finished half of their books.

I think is very much depends on which school you had in mind. For example, some state schools near where I live are awful, and a lot of the children don't manage to get any exam passes at all by the time they leave. But my school that I went to was fantastic and that was a state school. You also get a taste of real life which I think is something that can be missing from a private school sometimes. I would always want my child to be able to get the best education possible at the time, and it would be up to me to make the decision about which school was the best at the time that I would be thinking about sending them to school.

i think it`s dillema for the parents which have a limited money
we know that public school sometimes ignore the quality or output of the students..
that`s why the private school appears and answer some complain from the parents about the quality of public school
the problem is of course the fee and tuition in private school is more expensive than the public school
it`s common secret i think
but once again it depends on every parents..
There are no guarantee that every private school must be better than the quality of public school

If I am living in the first world country, I think it doesn't matter at all. I think both will give the necessary education for me to be able to become successful in life in the future. But for us lining in the third world, education becomes a good business. And because its a good business, there are lots of private school emerging in every corner of the community. I would prefer to send my kids to the private schools though as it brings a higher quality education compared to the public schools here. Though there are few public schools who surpasses the quality of education in private school, we can only count them in our fingers. Though, I'm a product of public school from grade school until college, I would still want my kids to be send to the best private school that I can afford.

I have attended both public and private schools. I attended public school during my elementary days and private schools during my high school and college days. I know some government/public schools that are topping the list of best schools in my country but there are also private schools that are included in the list. We should also be careful in choosing a school for our kids because when I was in college, I have heard of this news reporting that there are so many schools that are considered as 'bobo' (stupid) schools. You can actually asked some of your friends or relatives before considering a certain school for your child. However, I also think that your success does not only based on what school that child has attended but it also depend on the child himself. My cousin attended a public school both during his high school and college days and I, vice versa. He did not get much recognition during those years and I, vice versa. But when we actually graduated, he got a job better than I have. I honestly think that he is a better person than I when it comes to everything and I admire him. When you apply for a job, your school can be a consideration but when you are already hired, it does not really count that much because they will based their evaluation on your performance meaning in you and not in your school.
I once heard this from a colleague of mine who already have children. She is sending her two kids in a well known private school and would even complain sometimes because the tuition fees are so high thinking that her kids are both elementary students. But after complaining, she would say that it is okay because this is some kind of an investment for her. She said that she is doing that so that when her kid reached high school and college, they are already equipped with knowledge and can easily passed the exam for this government school/university and she no longer have to pay that much.

Well it would really depend on the study if they really wanted to learn.
I been in private and public school during school days,I can say that both of them where competitive enough and doing their own best to teach their students well. Both school have same goals to make their students smart and responsibly people after schooling.

In some places Public Shools have better management and reputaions that can't be matched by Private institution. In other places however, the public schools are completely mismanaged and thus private ones would be the preference. Bottom-line is the type of management there is!

I went to public school and I think public schools are better. To me the quality of education is better. I came name so many people that i know went to private school that can be classified as "dunce" seriously. I dont now why parents so much money for their children to go to a school when they come out learning squat

I was in a private school when I was in elementary. And went on public school for my high school.
For now, I think it doesn't matter anymore if its public or private. Even private schools have down sides.
It's still the guidance of parents from what is happening or what their child is learning at school.
