I was browsing Amazon the other day, because I'm thinking about buying something nice for my bedroom, but it seems like the shipping rates cost the same as the items being sold on the site in my opinion, and I wish Amazon would lower their shipping rates a little, members and guest shoppers shouldn't have to be a prime member to get a good rate on shipping.

I agree some of the shipping rates have been way to high. Its not always easy to spend $25 to get free shipping on most items, but there still are items that aren't offered with free shipping. The sales tax is making me search even harder to find more stores that offer the same product to find the best deal. Some stores don't charge me sales tax and that amount really adds up on larger purchases.

I myself have never paid a cent to ship anything as I have a prime account. How often do you buy off Amazon as you can get free shipping on orders over $25(if it qualifies and is sold by Amazon). There are so many ways to get free Amazon gift cards so you should look into these if you like shopping on Amazon.

My friend, you should make some research first about the stores which could have that item you like to purchase from Amazon.Who knows if some of the stores might be near your address, and that you could not spend for transportation, yet you must give a tip to the delivery boy.You can not blame the company for having such a big shipping surcharge for your items ordered, that is because all their negotiations must have an earning,so it is up to you if you agree with their terms.Just take note that they have numerous employees who might carry your items when you really accept its terms,
then how about their gasoline and time consumed to deliver your items, plus their salaries. They are more clever than you think you are for that purpose, that is why they are a big company with a big profit.

I don't use Amazon, but I agreea bout the shipping rates. It's crazy! It seems sometimes the shipping is at least half of the original cost. Or sometimes I think I've found a deal, but then the shipping cost turns out to make up for any kind of money I would have saved.

Well i completely agree to your point. Shipping rates are very much higher on Amazon and probably this is the reason why i have never given a serious thought about getting anything for myself from that site. i know may be they take a lot of responsibility and care to deliver the products but charging higher shipping rates might just not be an added advantage for the users. They should give this things a serious thought once.
What say?
