What might be the Problem with my Olympus Battery?

Maybe there is something wrong with the battery cord or power cord, or the charger..kindly double check..sometimes this are the cases for battery not charging.

Batteries do not last for ever, unfortunately. Sooner or later all rechargeable batteries begin to hold less and less power and need to be replaced. Usually you will notice that a charge begins to last for less and less time. In other words, deterioration will be gradual but sometimes a battery will degrade very rapidly. Your problem could be due to two things. Either the charger has failed or the battery is old or damaged. All chargers contain an electronic circuit which protects the battery from being overcharged. If this is faulty, the charger may seem to be working but it may have already damaged the battery. The safest solution, therefore, is to replace BOTH the battery AND the charger. Have you used the camera to the extent that it has been overly used? If yes, then probably that might be the reason why the battery had jammed up and is acting strange, i think you need to buy new batteries for your camera. Or if not, probably you need to upgrade the camera's firmware, sometimes, camera models tend to weird up their system because they are outdated. But to further assess you with your problem, you need to consult your camera on the Olympus business center have it check by their personnel to see the problem.
