If you would own a pet, what would it be and why?

I used to have a dog and we named him Maxie. When we bought him a few streets away from my house who was sold by a european family, they used to call him Prince. But as soon as he was brought to our house, we named him Maxie.
But now he is dead, and i just missed him a lot. His breed is a shih tzu type with very nice texture of hair that is so soft and silky feeling.
I told myself, if ill avail of pet again, i would be choosing one of these dogs.
1) shih tzu
2) toy poodle
3) siberian husky
4) st bernard
And lastly
5) daschund

We do have cat in the house named Garfield.
We do have dog for just a week then gone that my dad concluded that it was stolen.
I would like to have a pomerian dog as a pet. It looks cute, cuddly and huggable.

The only problem with pomeranians is that its hair sheds easily. Not recommended for asthmatic people. But pomeranians are cute too.

I have wanted to get a dog for quite a long time now, and I think that my family are coming round to the idea of us having an animal around the house. The only reason that they weren't so keen in the beginning is because they knew that they take a lot of looking after and both of them work full time, however because I work from home this means that I would be able to look after it during the day when other people weren't in and then I would be able to finish off my work at night when they got home again.

Right. Having pets at home is an added responsibility. But what i like about dogs, they are very loyal. My dog maxie knows wheni am arriving. Our helper would say he stands infront of the door, waits and once he hears the sound of my cars engine he barks excitedly. It's fun having pets around.

I love animals and birds,but till now I have never kept them as my pets.If I have a chance of having them as my pet,it wold not be any bird.I would love to have a domestic animal as my pet.My favorite domestic animal is cow,particularly the Indian variety.I wold pet a cow.Of all the domestic animals cows and bullocks are my favorite.I am Hindu and for us cow is a holy animal.When I see an Indian cow,I feel myself closer to the nature.

Wow. Nice. Ive never met anyone wanting to have a cow as a pet. It's new to me that it represents your country as a holy animal and that is good somehow. It is not just what imade me learn what my reader would want to have as a pet but also what culture and spiritual belief you may have. Thanks for sharing your thought.

I am dreaming of owning a Shiba Inu.
It's a native Japanese dog and it looks like a little wolf. What attracted me to it, is because of its Wild but protective nature. Its a dog that will defend its family. But looks can be deceiving on this one.
He looks so cute like a baby puppy, but he is fierce and will not back down, whenever his family or territory is concerned.
