What's everyone working on?Are you doing any crafts, knitting, etc for Christmas.I am working on a knitted washcloth with Justin Bieber and the Georgia bulldogs for my granddaughters.Maybe an afghan also. And some Hello berry bracelets for them.

Well thats all very good. I wish i had more time to crochet but its so time consuming and i really do not have time for it at all. Working full time and then always busy with the family its very time consuming i think. I started crocheting something probably i would say two or three years ago and it sits in a bag in my room and its there and i just never work on it. I wish i did work on it and make things but who has the time for that you know.
Well i have some gift cards i will be using this year to purchase christmas presents with unless i buy a house then i will need house stuff and groceries but we will see how everything goes. I hope things go good and i can get both things.

Hope you get both things also. And crafting can be time consuming.I have a lot of projects that I need to finish up also.I always think of something else I want to work on 1st and then put that on the back burner. And gift cards are nice and come in handy. And good luck on the house.

Back in the day, I did all gifts as crafts..from baking to sewing. To my...that is part of Christmas.
But sadly, people these days don't want hand made anything! However that hasn't stopped me. I just don't do the crafts I used to do nor as much. But,... my grand kids are all getting quilts this year from me. I have an American Eagle theme one for the GS, an ABC/123 for the littlest girl, a Minnie Mouse theme for the middle one that loves Minnie and Mickey. The next oldest is getting one with butterflys and the oldest is getting on with Orca whales on it. Everything their favorites. I am tired of buying htem things that they either forget to play with cause they have so muchor loose interest or the parent thinks they don't need right now and put it away for the yard sale come summer.
I know they will love these quilts no matter what the parents say! And at least they will have something of me for the rest of their lives.

I know what you mean.It seems to be a dying art,but I love it.I had made my granddaughters some quilts for their twin beds when they were little. They are now 11 and almost 8.They still have the quilts. They use them as a throw or extra padding when sitting on the floor in their room.Wow the quilts. And quilts are something that will last a life time. And I know what you mean about losing interest.Kids get so much nowadays, and most all of it ends up at the yard sale or trash.I know they will love the quilts. They sound really beautiful.Would love to see some of the pics if you have any.

It is great that you have started to think about things like this, and I am also thinking about the things that I can make for Christmas. I am going to try and make all of my own cards this year, out of the pictures that were on my cards that I received from last year. This means that I don't have to worry about buying cards, and I can get them done well in advance then I don't have to bother about them in December. I am thinking of making some photo frames as well, as I feel that these would be nice for my family and friends.

I don`t make those things anymore as my eyes aren`t what they were. But every Christmas I make jams and relishes for the grownups. And I have my 9 year old grandson here to help me decorate some Christmas cookies I made from scratch. It will be a joint present from us to everyone.

Hey great to hear about u making some craft items ahead of Christmas and that speaks volumes about your anticipation and excitement for Christmas. Well i have not started anything yet, but i am planning to do a Santa Claus craft as well as some beautiful craft works that can help me decorate my home on the eve of Christmas.
