Wow, that's it. it's really visible with this territorial crisis in the South china Sea, even our current deals and investments with China are really into tense. recently, they have decided to cancelled out funding for the North RAIL PROJECT amounting to at least five hundred million dollars? I don't know about you but I feel tricked in this issue. Just like the unfinished Bataan Nuclear Power plant. As i recall we also have lending support from china regarding the plant for gas reserves and hydro plant..

I think the decision of the government to cancel that project is a wise decision. Because as the DILG secretary said that project is being anomalous project. The bad things was we can pay something that we never used it...the government must go after to those people enter into that project and recover those money from them so that the government didn't loss much money. They need to ask kabayan in that project because as far as I know kabayan is the one who enter into agreement under the consent of the former president arroyo. I think all the plan that China, wanting to enter into development project in the philippines, is to manipulate our government and take over all the island near our country.

As far as I know "kabayan" is the one responsible with the north rail way project. Since this is anomalous as they say. The government should do something to recover those money involve in the project. This is a billion of pesos project and I don't know why the Aquino administration did not investigate "kabayan" and what is connection of this project with the on going misunderstanding between the two countries. Did you remember that "noli de castro" aspiring to run for the president before but he suddenly close the door for him to run in the higher position? This is because he is in pressure with the situation. If he is running for the president, there might be one person to reveal the secret of kabayan...

Hello Aerous, wow this is something that should be investigated, doesn't matter if it's Noli de Castro he should tell the process that went to that project. It's sad that once a trade partner but now have been scaring any one just to get what they want. I am still bothered the thought they may not be able to make a sustainable project out of those islands. have a nice day.

Well, well, what we have to expect? It's China's last chance to make vengeance and we have to accept the fact that we are just a poor nation who rely on with countries of bigger economy to help us....

Yeah I guess we are at their mercy right now when it comes to financial assistance. I think this is their pawn for us to stop the claim for territory. I guess they got offended when they sent Sec. Mar Roxas to send our position re: the Spratly's issue. That is the problem when we do not have enough money to be financially sufficient on our own. I know China just launched their own version of aircraft carrier. I think they are trying to pose their economic and military power by launching their own carrier without asking for US to develop this.

Hello Rsa101, I really don't like hearing that but it's the truth we are at mercy of almost every super power out there like United States and now China. we have out position with the spratley and they chose not to respect that they want it all and they will do what ever it takes to get it. that is no their version of the aircraft carrier because they bought it from Russia. have a nice day.

i do not want to comment on the other issues you mentioned buddy, but i am concern with our nuclear plant. i know about the BNPP is, it was completed but never tested. there were plans of activating it, put it in operation. but due to the Chernobyl incident in 1986, then Pres. Cory government decided not to continue operation of the plant. our one and only nuclear plant cost the government a lot of money but we never took advantage of it.

Hello Neildc, That plant was such a waste, completely paid off but never used. One of the biggest failure in government's infrastructure when it should have benefit us. I don't why she didn't continue it's operation, but some how her fears has caused us a lot of wasted money. they shouldn't activate it since it's way too late now. have anice day.

If you wait for some other country to help your country grow, you'll be waiting for the rest of your lives. The best thing you can do, is ignore China completely, stop trying to get a deal for China to build your country, and build your country yourself. You can do this. Hong Kong was a tiny little Island of nothing, and had no connections with China for almost 70 years. Yet they were 20 times more wealthy than China. You don't need China, or anyone to grow your country. All you need is you, and your people, to find something of value to create, and make it.

Hello Andy77e, this was decided by the Government of my country something I didn't agree on as a citizen. it's sad that we can't afford to be like those other countries like you mentioned hongkong and then Singapore i think. Corruption and ignorance of the voters choosing the right people is the problem why we are still in this state. hard to believed our lack of principles for hardwork was mostly the reason for this besides corruption

One thing that I cannot understand with our government is that they keeps on borrowing money from foreign investors and countries and yet they can lend a billion dollars to world bank? Would it be better if we use that billion dollar for these projects? Now that China is asking the money they lend to us (which of course I totally disagree), does anyone recall that several months ago, we do have a billion dollar whom we are willing to lend to others.

Hello Fulltank, they have no choice but to have foreign investment, that's how our country survives, depends on who the investor is. the foreign reserves aren't meant to be use for the local government project use. I don't think it didn't work that way knowing it's not part of the national budget just a foreign reserve. have a nice day.

The Chinese are really spoiled brats! That's just so unfair. Only because they weren't able to get what they want, they'd act like that? Maybe, we should ban all Chinese producst and all Chinese nationals from our country! :)

Hello watchamacllitz, that's what everybody's been saying, but I think we shouldn't say that on much impulse because it's their governments problem and not the people. sad to say most people are brainwash by this and thinking because they make people believe that it totally belongs to them. but we can't act like the chinese govt. or some chinese people, we are better than them.. have a nice day.
