When your credit card has expired, will you need to apply or renew it again just to maintain your "verified" status, or it's ok to just let it expire since the verification process is just a one time thing? I intend to verify my paypal account but the card that i have expires in april 2013. So i'm wondering if i have to renew it or it's ok not to, since my paypal is already verified once when i do it.

I have had a paypal account for years. I have not had to go through the process more than the one time originally. The reason you do it I believe is to verify you are the person you are supposed to be. You will have to update your records if payments get processed through that card. Hope this answers things for you.

What limits, do you use ebay? The limits don't last long. If you change the type of account you have they should be lifted. I know when I changed from a personal account to a business account I think the limits were lifted. If you send me a message perhaps I can help further.

Thanks for the info, but my paypal account got limited because i purchased something online using my cellphone. So the IP that i used to log in to paypal has not matched the IP that i used to register my account. The purchase was successful though, but then it got limited, and it was asking for my credit card number to verify my identity. I have used my personal starter account to purchase stuff online before, but i used my pc, so when i used my phone, the IP changed and paypal thinks my account is hacked. So now i can't use it at all that's why i need to verify it.

Since I have both a bank account and a credit card attached to my PayPal account (both verified) and can make payments from either at my discretion, I have not had any problem with this.
PayPal know when your credit card expires (because you had to tell them the expiry date) and they will - I am almost certain - send you a reminder to warn you that it is about to expire. You will be expected to renew your card or add the new card number in order to keep your 'verified' status. This is quite a routine matter.

I don't think you quite appreciate what 'verification' means. The purpose of it is to give PayPal the authority to take money from your account to pay for whatever you purchase. If that method of payment expires - that is, PayPal can no longer fund your account from your verified bank account or card, then you either have to add another bank account/card or your account will no longer be 'verified'.

Well maybe since you also use your credit card in paypal that's why you are being asked to renew it. I have no intention of using my credit card there so like the other member said, i will have to verify it only once. She's had her paypal account for years and she had her account verified only once.

I thought paypal verification is just a one time process. Perhaps it's about time also to check on this one.
