Yes I saw both the movie & read the book. It's a beautiful, wonderful love story. Sadly a love like that no longer exists in our time. Perhaps it did back in the day when men still tipped their hats every time a woman passed by or whenever their held open a door for a woman, but nowadays along w/ women's lib & the lack of clothing women today wear men no longer respect women enough to do any those things. So although it's a wonderful fairy tale I'm afraid that in the end that's all it is just a fairy tale.

I think I have to disagree with the third sentence. I believe, and I could see that that kind of love STILL DOES exist until now. I have seen several evidences in the people around me, even in the random strangers I run in to. We only have to open our eyes and minds so that we could see such things. :)

I haven't seen the movie but I have heard it was great. It seems like a girl thing though.

hi, I have not yet finished the book. I'm already at page forty because I had to stop because I'm very busy. Most Nicholas Sparks books are really good. He's also my favorite. I have read A Bend In The Road, i loved it. Most of his books have become movies, I'm gonna finish the book first before watching the movie.

Yes, i have read the book and then I have watched the movie. I prefer the book over the movie but it was beautiful nonetheless! I have cried a bucket of tears after I finished 'The Notebook'. How I wish i could find my own 'Noah' someday :).

Would you believe that it is my husband who introduced me to that movie? After watching it, I'm converted. It has become my second favorite movie, and our favorite movie altogether. I would like to believe that my husband and I share the same love that the characters have. It is really inspiring.
