I just don't get why they think no one watches soaps anymore. AMC and OLTL were cancelled on ABC and GH is the only one that network has left It is older than those other two and older that the ones on NBC, yet never a mention of those (Y&R and B&B) or Days of our Lives...those are never mentioned to be cancelled. I wonder if ABC is just thinking to change the course of tv...people like all these stupid talk shows and ones like The Chew and Dr Oz and all the talk, talk talk...and are just going to change their venue no matter what the people want. I would hope that another network would pick up GH if cancelled. I think the soaps are part of TV history that has lasted the test of time and generation and they are liked. Everyone likes a little fun drama during lunch time and with the recording options available to day..you can watch them anytime you want to. I still record during the day and watch at bedtime..nothing on regular tv or cable anymore and I can get so much more done during the day when I don't stop to watch...granted if I didn't have DVR I would stop and watch.. like I used to and all women before me!

I know , when they cancelled AMC OLTL I wondered how B&B was still on. The story get to be so cheesy. Days of Our Lives, I barelly ever watch.

As far as I can find it will continue at least through April of 2013 when it would celebrate 50 years of being on air. With The Revolution canceled and no rumors of any other shows, perhaps GH will stay for a while.

That cannot be true. Is it? I cannot believe when any soap operas are said to be canceled. They go on for years....decades even! Crazy!

I know! I couldn't believe it when I heard and there wasn't any thing on the internet about it. I'm glad it's not true.
