We have to respect the elders yet the young one deserves to be respected too.

Respect should be given to each of us. Respect should not impose but have to earned.
Indeed we have to respect people around us especially those who are older than us just what our parents taught us. Respect the elders. But even the young one should be respected too.
It usually happens in the office or even in other aspects of life wherein our superior, boss or colleagues who are older than us need respect. But what if they are the one who's wrong in a certain discussion or work then we are trying to explain why they are wrong and why we are the one right yet they think that we are disrespecting them.Is explaining and fighting what is right means disrespect to other people?
Why does they cant accept that they are wrong instead of thinking and feels that they are disrespected.
We should respect other people as we respect ourselves cause all of us deserves it.

I don't think respect is earned by age. I was told by a guy who punched his child in the face that I should respect him because he was my elder. I turned it around saying "If you met Bin Laden while he was still alive would you respect him? he's your elder." He was speechless. I believe respect is earned by actions, not by age.

Yeah respect dont earned by age but through actions that we do towards other and even at ourselves too. Respect should be given to people who really deserves it.

I agree with you. Respect should be given to everyone so that others would respect you back. Come to think of it, if people would just respect one another, there would never be too much disagreements that would sometimes lead to a fight.
Respect begets respect.

Yeah everyone should get respect and respect others as well.
Respect is deserves by everyone of us that we should take care and wont take for granted. Respect do earned for years yet sometimes destroyed by misunderstanding and disagreement.

You are right indeed, everyone needs to be respected regardless whether they are old or young. Now with respect to your situation in the company, I have encountered that to. But the thing is there are really those people who cannot accept the fact that they are wrong most especially if they are ahead of you or they are in higher position and you make such comment in front of others. There is always the word pride... The best thing is not to comment right away or argue with them in front of other people that would tend to put them in defensive position. Perhaps try to raise your point when both of you are alone with each other. That way, they will not be threatened and from there they could not say that you have no respect.

Yes indeed i agree with you. Youngster should also be respected like the olds. Every one of us deserves respect. But of course to be respected, one must be respectful and respectable.

i agree with you,we need to respest everyone and we should deserve to be respected .even we must do hard to deserve ,and sometimes there are misunderstand between us,and we will feel hurted,but i think it is important for us to persist,we need to learn respect.good luck!

I believe that all should be treated with respect, not only human beings but as well as animals, plants and other living creatures. Although I think that most humans don't respect their own selves/lives, it is not a reason for us to disrespect them. With regards to the topic, definitely, the young ones should also be treated with respect, young or old, they are both human beings. But sometimes, young people still don't have the wisdom or knowledge to know what is good or what is bad. The elderlies role is to guide them and teach them the right path but most teens feel that they are being restricted and they can't enjoy their lives. That is very common. I once a teen so I know how it feels being prohibited to do this and that. But now, I do understand why they do that.
