i let my husband have the laptop

At night while I watch TV, after I arrived from work, I would usually be on my laptop doing FB and sometimes Mylot.
But last night, when my husband arrived he told me that he will have to do some research on a topic for their meeting. Thus, I let him have it while I chose to just read a magazine.
What is funny though, is he keeps asking how to operate it and how this and that is done on the laptop, since what he has at their office is a desktop.
I think we are the opposite of some couples, wherein it’s the man who is so techie or knowledgeable on a thing like this.

It's the same thing in our house. Between me and my husband, I am the more techie one. Back when we were still dating, he's got the more hi-tech gadgets than I am. He's always got the latest model and the high-end stuff. Now that we're married, he still buys them but he lets me have it. He said he doesn't have the patience to re-learn how to operate a new gadget when he has just gotten used to the old one, lol!

That's so nice of your husband, giving you the new gadgets he bought, and keeping the old one to himself. That's an unconditional love , raine.

Well at least I now know, I am not the only one married to someone not very computer savy. My husband knows very little as well and I always have to help him. He even jokes if he was single there would be no need for him to have a computer cellphone or Facebook.

Yeah that's what i have in mind, jazel. But him, it's the opposite.
Well at least that makes me indispensable to him.

At least one of you is a techie. My mom and my dad (when he was alive) had absolutely zero knowledge on computers. It's a pity because I could have taught my dad. He is more tech savvy than my mom because he was able to figure out his phone in a few minutes. Mom took weeks!!!

Well that is the case with my parents too. My father being a retired judge has some knowledge on how to operate computers as well as cellphones.
But as to my mother, being a housewife all her life, she doesn't know how to operate even a cellphone. So, she don't have one. My sister and nephews who lives with them, are their operators when they want to call through their phones.

Yes it happens in some families where the wife can operate all gadgets-- more especially that are in the kitchen better than the husband. Here it extend to laptop also. Please teach him properly so that next time he can operate easily. mostly problem will be in respect of moving mouse. In pc he must be used to regular mouse here it has to be operated on the key board itself. he can learn it in a few days easily and thereafter will ask for laptop every now and then,

Well rav, actually he has used it already for how many times. But i am just annoyed that every time he uses that he would ask me how this and that operates.
I guess, it's his way of making me feel important to him. Right?

My husband is like that. Even the microwave oven , i have to operate it for him.
I taught him how to, but it seems he forgets them or would always just do so, so i could attend to him.

That is nice of you to let him use it. Thats funny that he had to keep asking you how to do things because he isnt used to a laptop. I have never used a laptop either I have always had a desktop computer I like them because they are bigger. I hope he got all his research completed.

You seem to be better at computer than your husband.Maybe he hasn't spent too much time on the computer .I wonder if the laptop is a far cry from the desktop. To be frank with you,So far I haven't used the laptop.
