I ruined three shirts actually. They aren't messed up if I die them black again. I have a problem though. I don't know the first thing about dosing clothes. Last time I attempted, I ended up getting black on everything and on my skin too. Even after I washed it a couple times it still ran black and got on the furniture when I wore it. I have seen that if I dye it and then rinse it in vinegar it won't run anymore. Is that true? What can I do? Any dye experts out there? What is he bet due out there to color clothes? How long does it take to be a good job? Please I try to preserve my clothes and not ruin them in a split second with an accidental spill of an itty bitty bit of bleach! Help! Please and thank you:)

I have had the same happen to me when I accidentally spilt on top of a pair of jeans, I ended up putting on a patch it worked fine to cover up the mark, won't work too well on a t-shirt though. I have never dyed anything so can't help you there but maybe a dry-cleaner could do it for you and if it cost about the same it would be safer?

Well first thing first i would like to recommend u not to depend on dyes and bleaches as they are just for temporary usage and in the long run they completely ruin the clothes. In fact in certain cases their effect is also counter productive and is unpredictable. So it is always better to go for dry wash wherein u do not use much of outside elements and rinse it thoroughly with care so that the color of those clothes do not come out. If u still find colors coming out from the clothes then no doubt they are not of good quality and u should avoid using them.
What say?

It happened to me with a light grey flannel suit, someone splashed bleach on it. I couldn't use it for anything important after that. It may be easier to dye it if it's black. Perhaps a commercial package will tell you how to make it permanent and not run?
Synthetic could be very difficult to dye.
