While taking a bath.....

What will you do when someone knocks at your door while your in the middle of taking a bath? Are you gonna do it fast as you could so you can answer the door or just let shout and tell them to wait because your in the bathroom? My daughter went to school this afternoon and after that I close the door to took a bath. After 20 mins while I'm in the middle of my bath Odie barks coz he heard the gate was open and someone was outside. I don't know what to do I know someone is looking at me and I can go out fast because my body has full of soap. I just shout and told them to wait but I don't know if they hear me. The next thing I done is to rinse as fast as I could. And put on my bathrobe to see who is outside. Unfortunately I missed her, I asked my neighbor who is it and they told me one of my friend the girl told them and they thought I was not in. I just hope she came back and I don't have a clue who is her.

I have had this happen to me in the past. I chose to just let them knock, I figured if they know me they would either come back later or try to call me. I thought about getting out and rushing to answer but I just didn't want to do that, so that's why I let my friends know that if I don't answer I am most likely in the shower so they know to come back later.

Taking a bath is oftn my moment of relaxation, If someone interrupts my bath time it better be important i will let that someone knoiw i am taking a bath and take it from there.

I shout out loud just to let her that I'm taking a bath but I don't know she heard me since my dog is barking loud too.

Why should you hurry and deprive yourself of a nice bath? If it's important they will come back later. Same with the telephone, if I'm busy I let it ring. When I get in the bathtub (or when I had one, all I have now is a shower) I stay there as long as I wish and the doorbell and phone can ring forever as far as I'm concerned. If it's the police they will shout and announce themselves, if it is a friend or neighbor they'll come back later. I see no reason to interrupt a wonderful bath and inconvenience yourself because someone showed up at your door unexpectedly.

I thought that too but sometimes I'm really wanted to know if it is emergency or a relative that pass by. But maybe it is not since still now no one is coming.

Like you, I use to hurry when this occasion arose, but now I take my time, if it as an important person at my door, I know they will return or get in touch with me some other way.

Yea that's what I thought so after not seeing her outside the door when I attended her that she will comeback some other time.

When I am in the bath, it is usually quite late at night and I don't like to answer the door then anyway. If one of my friends was going to come round then they would have got in touch with me first to let me know, so I wouldn't answer it unless I was expecting somebody. I don't live alone though so somebody else would answer the door if they thought that it was going to be something that was really important. The only other people who might come to the house would be people who were picking money up, and I know the days that they're due to call so I wouldn't have my bath until I knew that they had been.

Same thing happened to me just yesterday! I came home from school at 7pm and my mom was at the bathroom obviously taking a bath and I was knocking and knocking at the door. Fortunately when she shouted that she was at the bathroom, it was loud enough for me to hear outside the apartment so I waited for her to finish. And I know she did her best to finish bathing as fast as she could but I still waited outside the door for a few minutes before she opened it.

I guess you should just not bathe in the time your daughter goes home from school. My mom sets time for bathing and that is before I get home from school. But sometimes unexpected things happen and I end up going home earlier than usual and that's when I come home and she's still bathing.

I expect people to email me in advance if they are coming over. I would have the doors locked and I would just stay in my bath and ignore them. I don't answer the phone if I am busy either, but I do check continually for text messages and my voicemail and email send alerts, too.

I was halfway to finish when there was banging at the door. I wrapped my lower parts with towel then answered the door. I was met by a distant neighbor with questions why there was brownout. How should I know was my reply and banged the door in front of him and went back to the bathroom. If he would not understand, I thought, Then his brain is immature... lol.

No problem. I would ask the person to come inside and if he or she wants they can also take bath in next room.

This has happened to me a couple of times, If it's my mom or someone from the family, I go out even with soap and shampoo on my body. Other times, I just pretend that I didn't hear anything :)

I just rinse my body faster and get my bathrobe. After attending the door i will continue my bath. :) It just happened to me a long time, when i'm all alone at home then i heard the doorbell rang while i'm taking a bath, i just rinse my body and hair faster. After attending the door, back again to bathroom to continue. :) Sometimes, you have to move faster so that you won't miss any important things/stuff. like if you're waiting for someone or letter, so won't be miss the mail man or the important person you're expecting. Good Luck!

When I am in the middle of taking a bath and somebody suddenly knocks at my door, I just ignore it unless, the person had informed me through sms that he/she will drop by.Normally if it is an urgent matter, my friend will come back again or call me on my mobile. Your friend should have sent you an sms first before dropping in. Perhaps, if I were her, I would call you on your mobile phone if no one opened the door for me. Are you sure , she is your friend? If she is, she should have known your mobile number right?

I don't rush to answer the door if I am in the shower or bath. I figure they could come back if it's important. Most of the time they do.

Sometimes when I am taking a shower, my mobile phone rings and if it is placed outside my bathroom door, I will take it to answer, otherwise I let it be. If someone happens to knock at the door, I tell him or her to wait till I am done. It certainly makes me finish my shower sooner than needed.

That really happens. Unfortunately, its really unfortunate. Well, lets just hope she'll come back. My baby daughter together with her dad always knocks at the door everytime i'm taking a shower, to tell me to do it fast. And I'll just tell them, "please wait". And just ignore them. I really takes time in the bathroom.
