My 9 months old baby is Imagining Things

I think my 9 months old baby is imagining. Just lately, she's acting as if she's playing something with her hands. The next things, she's acting as if what she is playing fell, and she would pick it up (this happened twice). She's even making sounds while playing. We check her hands and there's nothing on it. She also repeats on playing that way. Is this normal for a 9 months old?

Yes that is normal. Sometimes they would play as if they're with someone and talk to thin air!

It's really funny looking at them. They're cute. I just hope it would not be too much like they're having their own world.

Wow. My daughter was about, maybe, 2 years old. She had an imaginary friend. The friends name was Sarah. I have no clue where this sarah friend came from, or, how she imagined this at such a young age. We were military and had to go to Germany. She was NOT going to go to Germany unless Sarah came along. So, Sarah came with us. I think you have a very smart baby. Ahead of her time!! It amazed me that my daughter would hold conversations with Sarah like she could actually see and hear her. Your post brought that memory back to me. My daughter is now 27. Thanks for sharing!

Whoah, she has grown up. How did you managed it? Is she aware that Sarah is not true? Thanks for sharing.

My son was like that too when he was about that age. I thought it was so cute and I make a lot of movies when he was doing those things.

I can't remember other weird things that babies do. Yes, there are things that looks weird for adults, but normal for babies. What does your baby does is normal, I guess she's your first child.

Awww, that is cute. Although I don't know whether that's normal or not. Maybe you should ask her Pedia when you go to her check ups.

I know, its really cute. We keep on recording her while playing. And she's really responsive to what we're teaching her. Maybe she's imitating something to us. Thanks.
