Hi there Fellow Mylotters,
My brother and I are not in good terms since last month. As a result, we need to avoid each other or else we might end up to a new misunderstanding. But, this afternoon, its like a test. That the situation really seems to test us, that while watching the television, he asked his daughter to turn off the TV. Although he was aware that I am watching, still, he told his daughter to turn the TV off. I was so irritated for what he has done. As in I want to shout by the acts that my brother did but, I don't want to argue with him again as I am tired. Though I am really pissed-off.

Well I have to wonder what the reason was that he told her to turn the television off. Maybe there was too much noise or maybe she needed to do her school work. If she needed to do her school work he probably should have had her go to her room to do it so you could have finished watching the television.

You guys should talk, because if you keep on avoiding each other, it might end getting more worse. Try to know the reason why he let his kid turn off the TV. Or you could let this pass, and if it happened again, talk to him, don't avoid the situation, because it might keep repeating. You should let him know what you feel. You are siblings still despite the misunderstandings.

its because he asked us to switch off the tv due to main reasons not to get distracted and always be sure to concentrate on main things

Well, I don't really know what started your misunderstanding with your brother, but it is just sad to hear if you are arguing with your sibling. Anyway, you did the right thing by keeping your cool and maintaining your silence. While you have all the right to ask your brother why he did that, it is not good to argue in front of the kid.
