When applied to human this doesn't make sense to me. It's often related to friends who hung out together all the time. I had a group of friends I hang out with before, when I was younger. We have different personalities but we got along pretty well, 1 or 2 members of our group even confessed they're a mariwana user, ones I caught him hiding the leaves in his bag and I joked to him if I can try, I was surprised when he reprimanded me. He told me not to even think about trying. So, how can it b, that we are of the same feather if we are very different people who happens to like to spend/hang out together ( flock together) in fact he is one of the best friends I have.

Well, i'm thinking that when you hang out with someone, even if you have different personalities, there must be something that bind you together. Like having same hobby etc. Or maybe just because you are classmates, or neighbor. I have a friend, who is totally different than me. she's an athlete, i hate exercise, she likes attention, i love my privacy, she loves vanilla, i love coffee, well, you get the meaning. But we got along so far. the only thing that bind us together is because we both love anime.

Hi meumeu! This quote was based on the general observation, I suppose. Your situation can be of those rare cases. You see, they would also say that in every rule there is an exception.
