I have airmiles and aeroplan miles cards and I use both of them from time to time. I was disappointed the other day when I found out that my aeroplan miles expired beacuse there was no transaction for a year already. It was my fault because when I felt my wallet has become so thick because of so much cards in it that I decided to use the airmiles card and leave the aeroplan card home. I could not believe one year has already passed. Lesson learned for me. Now I will just stick to airmiles because it is acceptable in more establishments compared to aeroplan. How about you, have you lost miles on any of your miles/points cards?

Every advantage card for anything needs to be used regularly, they can't keep points on there for ages with no transaction. With Airmiles they should maybe warn you when you are coming close to your expiration date.

Same with me, our baby is to small for travelling so just this year I lost 40.000 millage as it's expired next month. I wish there's a way I can transfer my millage to other people lol..so it won't be wasted... 40.000 from mine + 40.000 from hubby card I think somebody will happy to receive those millage if I can transfer it to them.

I have never had that problem. I stay in a lot of hotels, and that's how I earn most of my Aeroplan miles. I earned some when I went to Home Hardware, and bought a new coffee maker, and I'm going to earn some more next month when I go buy some new power bars.
How many did you lose?
I also have Airmiles, and of course I earn those too. Get an Aeroplan credit card, and that'll guarantee you'll earn miles.
