When I was in elementary I always got to arcade after class. And when I was in high school I even cut classes just to play arcade. In college since I have some free time. I do hang up in arcade. I love to play arcade with my friends or just me. I like the nice and the fun of dropping coins and playing.
But suddenly I just realize that its seems I'm not belong to arcade anymore. As most of those who play in arcade are in their teens and twenties but I never seen does in forties that play arcade and if I did its seems back in my mind this guy is already old and still playing arcade. lols.

if i do go there, it's to give way to nieces and nephews but only for a while because it's too noisy for me. then one time yeas ago i tried the racing/driving stuff and kept squealing because it's things are going too fast and i'm so clumsy, which caught people's attention which is so embarrassing, so i never tried them again!

Lols, I guess your really not the arcade type of guy. I do play arcade from time to time. I guess when I'm going to have a family I can enjoy going to arcade again. Pretending that I'm little my children play. lols.

i've never been sporty or active and being female, have the tendency to squeak and squeal when i get nervous or excited.
but times have changed a lot. i know someone who is a young mom in her 20s. she and her daughter play videogames together. it's something she couldn't imagine doing with her own mom.

That's true. I guess its a self impose insecurity I guess. Just imagine that I'm fighting it out with 9 years old kid and got beaten. lols. I like playing car racing and basketball shooting and some other arcade games. As long I have a coin I'm happy to play. lols.

Personally, I don't think there is ever anything one is too old to enjoy. If it is something one loves or really enjoys doing..why should age be a thing that stops us? I love playing video games and I am around the same age as you. I am not one to go to arcades..but that is just because I have never been one to frequent them. I have went before when I was little and enjoyed it, but the home consoles are really what I enjoy. I think for you that age just means that you are better at the games..you've had more practice.![](/Content/images/emotes/wink.gif)

That's true. But same time of course theirs some norms and we all know that most of those who play in arcade are young teenagers to young adults. But if you see a person in his forties and in his fifties or more I think its going to raise an eyebrow. I know we can't stop age. Every minute that move means we are getting old. I hope I enjoy my life to the fullest. I just miss the old days when all that I'm thinking is to have fun.

Like your observation, I don't see older people playing arcade. I am always there I see that most players are students and teens. Maybe because most older people are now busy with other things like if they already have a family, they usually work and spend time with his family rather than going directly to the arcade after work. Or they are no longer comfortable being there because like you, they think that they are only for young and teens.

Its for every body but I think if your in your 40's and above and playing then those children and teens think you are just too old to play arcade. lols. But same time I think not. Since most adult in their 40's are the age of game revolution. Where they grow up playing super mario and so on. So in short we grow up playing the early games and we just continuing it. lols.

Playing arcade is for all ages as long as you enjoy playing it.
I used to play and enjoy arcade games once in awhile which is really relaxing and fun to do.

I know. But when you play and after five minutes you can see children from 7 years old to teenager surrounding you watching you play. lols. Just imagine what they are saying behind your back. lols. But I guess I'm just insecure that I'm still playing in arcade when others who play in arcade is half of my age. lols.

That's true. We need to live a life that we want it and not how other want it. I know its hard to live in a community that make expectations but why not make expectation for yourself instead right?

I don't see anything wrong to play games whether you are 10, 20, 30 or 40, even older. We need some entertainment to relax ourselves from time to time. Whatever that make you feel younger, or relieve of your stressed mind, I won't mind it is a children game, or simply arcade games. So, don't feel estranged already. You are more than welcome to play arcade games.

Theirs really nothing wrong if you put it that way. Theirs no rules no law that say if your an adult or old person you can't play in arcade anymore. But the big question is how many old people do you see playing in arcade vs those children playing in arcade? Chance are those children will going to laugh at you.

It would only matter to you and if you feel too old to play in an arcade. Some things if you enjoy should never be passed up no matter your age. Sometimes it is good medicine to do those things from when we were younger. We will remember, smile and then feel better.
