I just went back from my hometown and i have many ripened bananas now.
If i don't eat it fast, i may have to throw it away. Therefore i eat rice with banana. In fact i used to eat like that when i was a small kid. It is a bit sweet when eating with rice but it is delicious.
Today i eat a banana bunch, tomorrow i will eat one more banana bunch. I hope i can eat it all till Monday next week..

haha.. what i mean is that, that plant only grows to the asian countries which have tropical weather and appropriate type of soil... haha! sorry for misleading you that way. i knew that it is a food for everyone but to those countries who cannot grow it, will have it exported product. like in dubai, the supply of bananas were coming from the souther part of mindanao called davao, and the company is del monte.
enjoy your banana hehe but cannot eat it with rice hehe:)

I am not sure if I ever tried to eat rice and banana together. I eat a lot of bananas and I like rice too, but I usually eat ripened bananas as a shake. I blend bananas with flax seeds, spinach or parsley and fresh dates. I add water or sometimes rice milk. So I can say that I ate rice with bananas - not exactly rice, but rice milk.
Too many ripened bananas is rare thing in my hausehold. We both, I mean me and my boyfriend, love bananas. We buy a lot of them, but we don't like to go shopping every day, so we often have no bananas and it is sad moment for us, a day without bananas. When we have too many bananas, what happens once a few months we freeze them, of course without skin. I cut them into pieces before freezing them.
Have a nice day, jazgottt.

It isn't something unusual for us that we eat for example 20 or even more bananas a day. I mean about 10 or more per person. Usually we eat about 4-6 bananas a day, but sometimes we do a lot of shakes and we eat a lot of bananas this way. If I have too much bananas I often make a shake which contains only bananas and water or bananas, water and strawberry:)
Bananas are delicious and healthy, I feel awesome when I eat a lot of bananas, of course I don't eat only banas haha.
Jazgottt.

hihi, we have many recipes to do with bananas. Normally i eat banana only or cakes from banana, or soak banana in flour and then fry it, or eat it with rice.
I like them all since i love to eat banana...
Currently i don't have icebox, so that i try to eat it faster since it all is ripened

I have never tried eat rice and banana, but I love banana. I like making Banana soup (Banana + coconut milk + palm sugar), fried banana with chocolate, Banana milk shake + ice cream. You can make variation of banana recipe so you wont get bored when you have a lot of banana.

Hahaha i understand that point of feeling lazy to cook, I do feel that way sometimes. my rice cooker is broken so I have to cook my rice in traditional way, it took more time but I have no other choice. I try to imagine mixing banana with rice, but I get imagination of baby's foods maybe I should try it by myself.
So what dishes do you cook on sunday?

May be the bananas may be too small this is the reason why she ate a bunch of bananas a day. I just used to have a maximum of three bananas(not too small but a medium sized one) per day. My stomach is full when I have them.

Ryan, i never tried eating that way yet. Usually, when there are plenty of bananas around, we would bake banana cake using oven. Sometimes, we would also make and fried some banana cakes for breakfast or tea time. It is delicious and they are always being enjoyed by whole of my family. After we had bake those bananas into cake, they can last for a week if keep in the refrigerator. By the way, do you get those banana free from your parents or you buy cheap from your hometown? in my area here, banana is quite expensive.

Brings back old memories!
Yes, I have already tried it and its always delicious. Do you know that a certain breed of bananas is used in cooking a certain Filipino dish? But of course, just bananas with rice is fantastic already.

That's a pity!
Eating fruits such as banana during your meal, not just a dessert, is really satisfying. I always look forward to meals with fruits in them. Pineapple and banana are just some of the fruits that I know that mix well with one's lunch/dinner.

I am an one who just used to eat one or two bananas if it is there in my home, My mother knows that I am found of it, so she used to buy it and keep it on the store room and she asks me to eat them especially during tea time.
Still now I did not eat bananas with rice. Anyway I need to try it out

my mother also does that, eating fruit with rice. i've also seen her eat ripe mango with rice. i always make sure to buy assorted fruits for my parents, but i myself seldom eat them, which is embarrassing. i do try to eat a banana once in a while. what i like about bananas is it's available all year round and it's easy to eat. no need to slice and not messy or sticky.

I think that is very true. What our parents make for us as young children is how we eat as adults. My mother always made me potato soup and to this day I still enjoy eating it and making it for my children.

No, I have never had that combination. If I had bananas that were going, they would likely end up as banana bread or used in cake. I wouldn't think of having them with rice. Although, I suppose that would be good.

good day ryanong,
the combination of rice and banana for me is perfect as i loved to eat those foods. hence it was our food way back long time ago, especially when we were still kids. thus eating these foods are nutritional one.

I assume you don't have a freezer? If you can put the banana's peeled in their to make a shake out of it or banana ice if you like. I like banana's with rice as well, but also just banana's, or baked banana's or fried (in dough you can safe them long that way too) :-) Enjoy your banana's/meal.. they are healthy and good for relaxing and they make it easier to fall asleep as well.
