Wishing MyLot to have a Notification like Facebook.

So here, I'm back again!
I'm thinking about this notification things. It is just exactly like Facebook notification. I wish MyLot do have one too. So that we will be able to receive notification on the discussion we commented on and look at what they comment back. Besides, having this notification things on MyLot, it is much more easier for us to know whether the person who commented on your discussion, did reply back your comment on that particular person's comment. It is better this way so we do not have to go back to the discussion you commented on or your discussion to see whether they did comment back or not. It is good to have this notification things on MyLot wasn't it?

Not sure how you have your settings but every time some one responds to my discussions or to a comment I have left I get a notice in my email that I used when I registered with my lot. You may want to look at how you have your account set up and then change it to receive notices. I also get a notice when any of the people on my friends list start a discussion. I hope your able to figure out how to make them work for you. You may need to look in your spam folder to because they may be getting put there by your email provider.

Interesting thoughts and comments here . But for many of us who some days respond back to a lot of discussions this would be a lot more work. What you could do is set up a personal email address just for myLot if that would help make it easier for you than what others have already suggested for you.

That would be good, I have it set up for emails but when I am on it regularly it does clog up your inbox a bit.

As far as I know you can set some preferences here. So you can be able to receive notifications. Though it will not be the same as Facebook has but perhaps it can help. Hope you able to set it accordingly.

Unfortunately, Mylot doesn't have that yet within the Mylot portal. But to help you with your problem, try opening your email on one window while your Mylot is on the other. That way you will know when there is a new message coming from MyLot. To make reading of these notifications from Mylot easier for you, I suggest you make an email address solely for MyLot. I hope that solves 
your problem.
