will Sehwag end up like Shahid Afridi?

hi friends. I was watching pakistan versus south africa. Good close match. But what caught my attention was how afridi batted. Whenever someone talks about afridi during his early days ,they say that's how he bats. Fast forward a few years, he is in the mainly as a bowler. They have been saying the same thing about sehwag. Whether they smash boundaries and six or gets out playing hideous shots, they say 'that's how heats' about both batsmen. How long before sehwag's batting starts to look like afridi's? What's going to happen to sehwag then? He doesn't bowl like afridi to be in playing eleven. Before anyone raises the issue how sehwag cannot be compared to afridi,even sehwag double 300's will be easily repeated but no one can repeat the 37 ball hundred.

This should be a big concern for Sehwag. We all know he is a very good player but he is playing so careless game. Cricket is team game and you have to think and play for the team , playing aggressive every time doesn't helps.
He needs be a bit more disciplined effort and he can deliver best for India.

Hello rajesh_111, what do you think ,will Virender Sehwag be included in the final squad in the match? I think he will be included. I too think that playing agressive cricket every time doesn't help. Sometimes the batsmen need to respect the bowlers.

I think definitely he will come back to the squad and open his innings for India very shortly. Many bowlers have revealed that they are a little afraid to bowl to Sehwag. I am sure he will come back with more power

I hope Shewag play in the next match. It is good to see Sehwag hitting the balls. I think last game most of the players were not hitting the games and were very slow in striking the ball and that is one of the reason that India lost the match. I think someone like Sehwag can strike ball cleanly.

Yes you cannot compare Sehwag with Afridi because he is more talented player than Afridi, Sehwag can bat wisely in critical situations but I didn't see that Afridi's batting in critical situations he failed in 98% with poor and wise less shots, can you tell me the match winning performance of Afridi with bat except that fastest hundred and may someone easily repeat double 300 in test match but anyone can repeat this with same strike rate? Afridi can bowl well I agree with that and please refer his batting statistics against Sehwag, he is most senior than Sehwag.

well he pretty much won the 2009 edition of the world cup through some sensible batting and bowling.do i have to look any further?
