do you think it`s fair for Rio Ferdinand??
when John Terry announced that he will be retired from the national team, some fans especially from MU suggest that national team call up Rio Ferdinand..
But Roy Hodgson had ever said that he never call up Rio anymore..
Petr Shilton, ex england goalkeeper said that the golden era of RIo had passed..Shilton ever suggest that Roy Hodgson should try to play Lescot and Gary Cahill..
what do you think about it??

I also think that Rio's era has passed by. He is now no longer even guaranteed a start in the Man United line up. Given this situation he has definitely gone down the pecking order for the England job. I think currently Lescott and Gary Cahill could be a good combination at the back, but I prefer Jagielka ahead of either on current form.
Cheers!

Definatly dropping Rio is a good thing because the older players now know that with a good crop of younger players coming through they have to play better and they have to earn their place in the national side. This is a good thing

One feels Rio Ferdinand over-rates himself. We have to remember how he made so much noise because he wasn't included in the English team to the last European competition. Moreover, age is not on his side and there are better and younger defenders than Ferdinand. So, he should stop blackmailing the manager and retire honorably.
