I have exactly that number of days and nights left to be with my family. 7 days and 7 nights left and i'll be on a new adventure of my life. It's exciting and at the same time a bit scary, but i am full of confidence of a new world that i'll be embarking in.
7 days and 7 nights left and I'll soon be walking on a different road, different streets and a totally different environment! I have prepared myself already for what's coming, i've packed half of my bags, and i left half undone. My life will have some changes and i'm just looking at the positive side of the future.
Do you have some big changes coming in the next month?

Good luck to you too. I am now in a foreign land and hope i'll be able to adapt to the new environment. I hope to find my own place to stay soon and start working. I have a friend here but she seems so distant at this time, i don't have anybody to talk to. It's making me sad.

Good luck with your 7 days left where you live at the moment. Moving home and going to live in a different area is very exciting. Soon you will be making new friends and looking at interesting places in your new area.
I have been doing some early bird Christmas shopping because a shop gives a 5 pound voucher for spending over 50 pounds or a 10 pound voucher for spending over 100 pounds. In addition they are selling 3 toys and giving 1 of them free. There are plenty of deals for 2 toys for 15 pounds. I had to travel up to Gloucester today to get the present my little girl wishes to have for Christmas. Over the next month I plan to do more Christmas shopping.
I remember moving in August 2005 from Kent to Somerset. It was funny because for the August Bank Holiday I had booked a trip to the Channel Islands. I was going with a friend and my dog. So it was amusing to move in and then go off on a vacation a few days later. It was exciting getting to know my new area.

If only the people here can speak English, i won't have trouble adapting to this place. It's very difficult not being able to communicate with anybody. I'm staying at a friend but she seems distant and i feel like i'm being a burden. I'm not getting much help from her as expected so I'm planning to move out and start living on my own.

Maybe i won't be able to make it if i'm not going to stay positive in this new adventure of mine. I'm doing my best to stay strong.

I am a bit confused if I read your discussion and wonder why it is a big adventure to be with your family? I hope in (shorter) time I will be able to live abroad and find a better place/school for my kids. How/when depends on some factors (also how things will develop over here with our economics and the never ending payments for other countries which will make it harder for me to survive here and let my kids have education at school as well). I still have my bags packed to go back to Hungary within 2 weeks and hope to go back to Africa next year. I don't think it's a big change.. it's me and I like traveling around.

When i decided to go to another country, we had no idea how long i will be gone. But we all knew that i would be away from my family for a long time, away from my son and my husband. That's why it's such a big deal for me to stay with them for the last 7 days. My friends here on mylot who kept up with my discussions are well aware of that.
Now i'm in a foreign land where people don't speak English nor understand it. It's quite difficult but i have to get used to this.

Its a big change for me. We have to start all over again. Me and my hubby. I used to be with my mom in our house. But I have to start with nothing. No money and no work. No stable job. But I guess I am better than other people who experience less fortune.

It's good that you were with your family. At least you were together.
In my case i am alone with no relatives and the only friend i have doesn't care much about me.

I really did lord Allen! It's only this week that i was finally able to get some decent sleep. From the time i wrote this discussion until i arrived here last week, i haven't been sleeping well. I was always busy, going to places and enjoying the scenery. Now i have nothing left to do until next week. So i've been getting enough or too much sleep. I would usually wake up very late in the morning or sometimes in the afternoon already. It's strange because it's not my sleeping habit.

that's good news! when you say family, would that mean your husband and kids or you parents and siblings?
the whole description tells that you're going abroad. that would really be a total change.
i would not be having a big change in my life soon but i hope it would be happening in the near future.

I'm referring to my husband and son as well as my siblings as i don't have parents anymore.
I am not in a foreign land, feeling like a stranger and a bit lonely. I'm enjoying the place and wishing that my family is here with me too. I will go home in March and be with them for two months and come back in this foreign land again.

Thank you Ryan. The trip was smooth and for a week i was just like a tourist, enjoying everything and stayed at the hotel. Now i'm staying at a friend and wanting to move out because i feel so lonely. Even though she's here, she's not talking much to me and i feel like i'm being ignored. So i feel like i'm being a burden to her. Hopefully i'll find my own place to stay next week and move out from her place. As long as i have an internet connection i will be fine in this foreign land.

Yes, I probably will participate in an English course. It is not a especially event but it is a change of the daily routine. It is also a challenge and I will test my skills and surely improve my knowledge. I hope that your adventure becomes well. Good luck.

Thank you so much for such encouragement. I am now in a foreign land feeling alone and a bit lonely. Just thankful for the internet because i'm able to communicate with my family back home. Internet connection makes me feel safe and not that far. I'm still adjusting though but I know i will be ok.
