I actually heard a lot of buzz with a hollywood celeb turning into a vegan lately. So it sounds actually not appetizing to me since I enjoy both meat and veggie but with veggie alone I find it boring and I tend to eat less, that why I lose more weight while eating vegetables lol. But what exactly is vegan diet and why many celeb jump and buy it?

I eat a mostly vegetarian diet. I eat some fish, eggs and cheese. So I am not vegan. I have gotten to the place where I no longer care for eating meat. I am afraid to eat red meat here no telling what is in it anymore! However, I do crave a nice steak every now and then! lol

This is true. I do occasionally eat a small piece of chicken too but not very often.

I think I have eaten meatless meals for so long putting meat in some dishes makes it nasty for me now. I can't think of anything I really need meat in. I use a lot more spices than I used to though! That's for sure! lol

I eat vegan diet for a year now. I used to eat only a little animal foods before. In my opinion the taste is something what changes after a while eatning vegan. I do not consider meat tasty anymore. In the past I liked chicken and fish and now I like more bananas, mangos and potatos. I used to eat cheese often but now I eat lentils often. So I eat different food now but it tastes even better than previous food. It takes time to get used to new foods. We used to eat meat since childhood so it is a great habit to do so.
If you want to try vegan diet don't think you taste buds change their preferences the same day. People usually go vegan because it's healthy (like me) or because it's not involved with animal suffering or it's enviromentally friendly. Or because they are just curious. It's motivation what keeps them vegan at the beginnig. But after a while it's often pleasure to eat that way. Like for me .
If you are not able to eat no meat you don't have to be vegan to be healthy. Just eat as much whole plant foods as you can and as little red meat as you can. And avoid processed foods. It will keep you well nourished and still satisfied with the taste:).
Have a nice day, jazgottt.

All my life I've been eating meaty foods and switching to vegan diet could shock my stomach and probably make me sick. But they said vegan diet is good for those who want to shed the pounds. Since we eat to live we should be enjoying varieties of foods as there will be a time when we lost our appetite to eat. I don't think I fancy eating vegetables only.
