Have been online since the early 90's but never thought about making money online. Time spend on the net consisted of researching topics of interests, participate in a variety of forums and in the past was a very active user of MIRC. Since the economy has not been doing well and the end of this downturn seems to be out of sight I thought why not research and see if there were ways to make extra money online. The search has been quite interesting because it began as a bit of a ride. At first was pretty overwhelmed with all of the information out there. Most of it was trying to sort out what was legit and what was scam. Filtering out the unbelievable scams and trying to figure out what I was capable of doing has been a challenge. My initial idea was to find a paid forum poster position since I love to post on forums and that is what lead me to mylot. So it seems this website is a fabulous idea and since I love to write it really is better than a forum poster position because you can earn a variety of ways.
So as a newbie to making money online am glad to be a part of this experience. Because it is actually FUN!
How has the idea of making money online been for you? Has it always been on your mind or did an experience in life bring you to this point?

Hi Sunglow and welcome to the MyLot community. I'm surprised you haven't been one to have been making money on the internet for years since you had it in the 90's. I've been trying only a few short years and it was a lot of work at first like you said to weed out all the scams. Thankfully I haven't been scammed and hopefully nevr will be. I'm with a few sites that are legit and do pay. I won't be rich but at least it's a little extra money. I mainly started when I did have a job but thought I'd be able to make enough to quit but I have found it harder than I first thought. Still not making the amount I would like for all my efforts but grateful to be getting something

Yes it would be a dream come true to make enough money online doing legit work to quit the real job. One reason I think I did not try to make money earlier is because I was real satisfied with my physical job till more recently. Also with the economy the way it is and the uncertainty on a guaranteed jobs make money made online more appealing. It seems that eventually it will be the way of the future on how to make money. Things have been changing more quickly lately in how the world works. Just trying to go with it.
Good luck to you BabyCheetah!

Well that's a good reason. I only went to this online way of making money because I wasn't happy with my job and now I don't have one so I've been trying to make a bit of extra money to get by. Just cashed out $20 now on one site and making a little bit on other sites, it's a bit at least. With a lot though you need to get a few active referrals to really make anything substantial
Good luck to you as well

Hello SunGlow
how have you been, I am also into paid forum posting as it provides the fastest and best rates most online activities. But currently I am into investments, to be exact it is forex trading. That is why I am using the money I earn here to invest and with that knowledge I would be able to make more money.
